That last tip about adding distortion to high end to give impression... confuses me... I can't wait to get home to play with this concept. Thanks for this!

You are not giving distortion to the high end, by distorting the low end, the harmonics of the low end are present in the overall sound even though the low end itself is missing due to small speakers.

@@silentstormstudios you must be living on another planet or something. Akai has put out 4 new products in the last few years. N.I put out the mk3 (which is basically the same thing we already had but with more buttons)...all the rest of they're stuff was garbage last year. And now they wanna make videos about improving base lines, PLEASE You and N.I need to wake up and come back to reality!!!

@@MixWorkRecordings This isn't a video about hardware, in the first place.

@@MixWorkRecordings I'm sorry, what software is Akai making that is so popular that it's killing NI? MPC2? I'm sure MPC2 is cool, especially when matched with MPC hardware, but I don't think that's really killing NI. It's not like I'm seeing a flood of producers switching to MPC2 all of a sudden. I have nothing against Akai. They make solid MIDI controllers and hardware instruments. I just don't understand your point in stating that NI is getting killed by Akai. NI's bread and butter is software instruments, while Akai's bread and butter is hardware instruments and controllers. Your comment is baseless, and it really just sounds like smack talk from somebody with a stake in Akai. And no, I'm still living on Earth like everyone else. I apparently just have a more balanced view of things on Earth than you and don't feel the need to lash out at a music software company with baseless taunting for no good reason.
