Your guides really show how an Arduino project can be much greater than the sum of its parts. Thanks for the careful explanations and I hope to see more!

Great tutorial and easy to follow! However, after installing all the necessary libraries, making sure there is a satellite fix, and using the code from the website, I still cannot seem to get the parsed data to appear in the serial monitor. Any ideas on how to fix this? I was able to get the raw data to appear before doing any of these steps, so it does work. Also, I tried commenting on the website's comment section but it gave me an error each time...hoping this might get some traction lol

Best tutorial in adafruit gps tracker, may you please do the same video but with real time tracking on adafruit cloud platform or any other platform such as google maps. Thanks

Where would I get just the GPS (it’s for a project of mine).

Not available to buy it seems. But the Ultimate GPS USB is available. Sadly no breakout for TX/RX, has anyone any experience with USB version? Can you still hook it up to communicate with arduino some how?

I have been playing with a Beitien 880 with both an Arduino Uno and an Arduino Mega 2560. The latitude and longitude always seems to be correct however the altitude and number of satellites seems to fluctuate. I know my home is about 200 feet above sea level but the gps will show altitudes of anywhere from 30 feet to several thousand feet. Also the number of satellites will be 0 to several thousands which I don't believe is possible. I'm not sure why I'm getting these wild numbers. I currently have the setup in a north windows with the GPS module tacked to the window with blue tack.

We have tutorials about that on www.circuitbasics.com. Here's a link to setting up electret microphones (with discussion of preamps): www.circuitbasics.com/how-to-use-microphones-on-the-arduino/ Here's a tutorial about building an LM386 amp with bass boost and tone control: www.circuitbasics.com/build-a-great-sounding-audio-amplifier-with-bass-boost-from-the-lm386/

As far as I understood the module doesn't need a SIM card to give accurate coordinates readings?
@biological-machine10 ай бұрын
Why did you even relate SIM cards to GPS locations?
@ESEben1010 ай бұрын
The module SIM808 doesn't even react to AT commands without a SIM card.
@biological-machine10 ай бұрын
@@ESEben10 If you check, SIM808 has some external uses apart from just GPS.
@ESEben1010 ай бұрын
I'm aware of that. There is a certain type of GPS called differential GPS , which relies on a base station/fixed point with known coordinates to provide high accuracy locations. It seems like it relies on a mobile network to achieve that.
@biological-machine10 ай бұрын
@@ESEben10 You can relate in that way but GPS is primitively based on satellites.

Man I’m down horrendous, trying to get this working on a teensy 4.1 has pushed me to my limits. It works fine on teensy 3.2 and a normal r3 but god forbid it works on the one board I need it to work for ;(
