“If you are always waiting to feel motivated, you will never do anything.” -idk I heard this forever ago and it really stuck with me. Essentially the idea is to find a driving force instead of motivation. This gives you something to lean into whenever it is needed instead of waiting for it to randomly spark. Like mine is to chase my passions to the fullest extent of my desires, in any field of interest. I think of this drive when I am struggling to get started. Then, once I have actually begun, the rest tends to follow suit as “objects in motion stay in motion”. Another good tip is to not force it if you have tried and can’t get anywhere. Every so often, the mind needs to step back, take a breather, and come back to it refreshed.
