The winged figure in the pattern of the surf (in the second shot) is so magical...what a cool moment. Thanks for sharing another adventure with us. Cheers!

Very nice images sir! The one @ 2:16 reminded me of angel wings, like from a snow angel but in sand and water. The landscapes from the workshop are terrific, the attendees got some great opportunities it looks like. Safe travels!

I held my breath when you posted the edited image of Glencoe! Magical! A place my ancestors knew, and I’ve been once. Brilliant images throughout, Adam, and yes, that winged figure in the waves - stunning!

I really appreciate how you show the raw file and then the final. I find that very instructive.
@QuietLightPhotoАй бұрын
I'm glad to hear that! Showing the raw file helps to understand the process better, and I'm happy you find it instructive!

Great video! I was at Dunstanburgh in Oct but didn’t have time to find the boulders shot but inspired to go back next year. Northumberland is one of UKs best kept secrets. If you’d been there a couple of days ago you would have captured some epic storm shots!

Like you say, there's a lot of shots of this place around the place, and I enjoyed seeing frames I've not seen before. Those foreground rocks and the light on the hill was pretty delightful. Enjoyable video.

Adam, you mentioned the sunlight moved which prevented photographing the darker rocks. Something I have done in the past was to use my remote on a very small strobe light placed close to where the sun would have been normally been shining on the local items you want to photograph. If you use the strobe on it's lowest power, it will likely add just enough light on the subject to create the shot. You should try it sometime. Should you wait too long, the faraway object will lose light so you may as well call it a day and go home.
@QuietLightPhotoАй бұрын
Awesome idea! I’ll have to try that strobe trick next time. Thanks for sharing your wisdom! 📸✨

Scottish mountains always look to me like they shrunk in size. P.S.: I have to add, the last set of photos have amazing colors, I love them.
@QuietLightPhotoАй бұрын
It's interesting how perspective can change our perception of size! I'm glad you enjoyed the colors in the photos - the Scottish landscapes truly have a unique charm.

Would it be better to put the castle on the middle line to avoid distortion and then crop the picture to the same composition?
@QuietLightPhotoАй бұрын
Possibly?
@ronboe6325Ай бұрын
Having watched Keith Cooper's review of a shift lens I was naturally sensitized to the diverging lines of the castle tower and was wondering if "fixing" that in post was an option. Or perhaps you didn't catch his video and were NOT sensitized to it. :^D

Landscape photography isn’t really about “location location location”. Photography is al about the “light”. It’s not about the location it’s all about the light!
