How to activate Pioneer steering wheel controls

Here's a tip on how to activate your steering wheel controls on your Pioneer Car audio/video unit. To complete this step you must have the park brake wire connected (or grounded) and the steering wheel control wires of the car hardwired to the PIONEER AV unit (applicable models, see your user manual for details, if your manual says 'steering wheel interface ready' you will need a third party steering wheel interface adapter). Use the cheat sheet at the link below to find out which wires on your car you need to connect to.

Great video thanks. Got my work vehicle back from a service and it had been disconnected from steering wheel control and greyed out ever since due to them removing battery. Thanks I'm up and running! Tip would be to select to set up with adapter as a guess then if it's not automatically set up opt for manual setup without adapter.
