How to Actually Build Viessa - 100% Ultimate Uptime is OP : First Descendant Guide and Gameplay

I'm glad the community found this video! Going to update a few things with some stuff I have learned in the last 10 days. -Defense Master for dungeons is still amazing. If using a purple reactor you can have one on multiple different ammo type weapons to loop the cooldown to have 100% uptime. -The Blue Beetle with max enhancement is a very very good weapon for a pure cast style -If playing on console and you have paddles on your controller, try this setup. Change the 1st ability to R1 or RB, the 2nd ability to Circle or B, and the 3rd ability to Triangle or Y. After some getting used to this felt extremely comfortable to spam abilities and was also very good for Gley. I have weapon swap on L1+R1, Roll on L1+O and the Hook on L1+X. -I am going to swap one socket for the build, Alamandine for the 2nd Rutile. This will allow all 4 Crit mods to be available and still have max range as an option for farming as crit is not as impactful against lower health enemies. -Secret Garden is very good, but only at max enhancement.

nice video thanks for sharing. i would like to point out the part where you talked about adding def to the build for more survivability if needed. the change in the video will only net you aound 7% damage reduction. an option i use on my viessa is to substitue time distribution for nimble fingers for more survivability. going for 50% more HP from base will provide you with a 20% increase of hp over the current value

@@anhmai7124 i play HP mod, nimble fingers and mp conversion for dungeons. for solo bossing i switch HP mod to Battle of Stamina for an extra tick on my ultimate. the only time i use time distribution is going into one of the collosus that require a group. i dont like to be the dead guy

Very good into here. It helped me a lot. I Noticed that cold blooded doesnt give the full amount of cooldown if your MP bar is not at max. So always make sure to pop your 2 before using other skills. Cant ask for more than having your blizzard up 100 percent of the time.

I love the "They Left Me" alt setup! haha I'm gonna have to implement this tactic myself. With how long the defense missions can run, I think I've had two groups in total that were willing to go all the way to the last wave for the double drops or Gold/Xp.

the 2 blue crit mods (Skill Insight/Concentration) give 115.4% crit damage/rate the 2 purple crit mods (Front Lines and Emergency Measures) give 92.3% crit damage/rate together so youd get a bit more stats running 2 blues and a purple if you wanna use 3 crit mods

MP or HP Collector, or even the MP Recovery modifier Blue Module. If you dont want the Xantic slot, you can do another Alamandine for more Crit. Ive swapped a Rutile slot for Alamandine for this reason. I would not max out the Rare Maximize Range because after the 11 Capacity Cost, you will not get any more range because Viessa Caps out at 250% and this setup is at 247%

If it helps ultimate characters are only good for their bonus 2 polarized slots. Their actual stat increase is barely worth anything unless it's Gley. She has about 1300 more Def because she doesn't use MP.

@@kmproductionz5420 Don't forget two exclusive Transcendent Modules. Yes, this is hit and miss on if it is worth it. But for stats, it is roughly 8% more defensive stats (I don't think any have any offensive helping stats) than the normal version of the character. On Ajax specifically, since he gets buffs for having more defensive stats, this is worth even more. For Bunny, her best offensive mod is High-Voltage, exclusive to Ultimate Bunny. Gley specifically has a very risky, but powerful Demonic Modification. Yes, it is only really used in 1-3 shot boss showcases and can be hard to use, but is exclusive to Ultimate. Viessa's utlimate exclusive Absolute-Zero is really nice, though Cold-Bloodedness (which isn't exclusive) is still her most powerful along with the often seen Hypothermia. I don't care for Ajax's ultimate exclusive Void Barrier, as I like static shields others can use better, but some seem to really like a barrier that can be moved with them. They, as you mentioned, start with 2 extra catalyzed slots, saving you two Crystalized Catalysts when building them. On top of, of course, their really cool new looks.

Question. What is Viessa's base Skill Critical Hit Rate? I know Bunny's is low at only a 10% base. Curious because of the Blue Beetle. Using a Fusion skill with it equipped (cannot swap off or the buff is lost), you will gain a 30% Skill Crit Rate buff for 10s. This is a multiplicative buff and sadly not a flat buff..., so Bunny would only go to 13% with this. But if you're not using your weapon to attack and spamming lots of skills that include Fusion, like your Viessa, this would be permanently up. Note that that that buff amount and rate is with a maxed Blue Beetle (it also has a trigger rate of 100% to activate the buff when maxed). Sadly, Viessa doesn't have a Singular type skill (with her base kit at least, Hypothermia changes things), unlike Bunny. Singular skill casting allows the removal of debuffs on oneself. So like if a Bunny is holding this weapon, she's never be poisoned/burned/slowed/def down/atk down and the like....

@@TCGSyphax thank you for the reply. Yes, for a pure casting build like your's, where you never fire your gun, I think the Blue Beetle is worth it since it helps buff your skills. As much as I like Clairvoyance, the been rifle takes time to charge to get the Chill RES shred. Thus better for longer rotation builds, where there are down times between casts. I do wonder how quick the charge speed can get when maxed through mods and substats, to quickly get the RES shred. Thus making the weapon more worth using.

His using crystallization and resetting his character back to level 1. With that the actual cost of module capacity is cut in half. So his been able to do that on every slot available making viessa an attack ice goddess

What do you mean? Have you looked what happens when you get Mastery ranks. Depending on the rank, you either get extra slots on descendants, weapons, equipment, storage, and consumable.

@@mel_camino heres a trick. if using a purple reactor have two weapons of different ammo types with a defense master with 20 sec cooldown. get a kill, get def buff and moment it runs out switch weapons and get a kill and on character slike bunny and viessa you basically have 100% uptime

The problem is if you build for abilities, you're just too squishy and it doesn't feel good for me. I build her for gunplay first and abilities seconds, so my Viessa has 75k DEF and about 8k HP with the Shot Focus mod that adds 15% Firearm ATK and lose 15% Skill Power Modifier.

There are videos out there about the best cut off point for def. You don't want to go more than 40k in almost all circumstances. You can, it just does not help.
