There is this guy who moved to my island from Belarus and when he first arrived here his English was bad (still is really) but he asked my male friend to introduce him to this girl on island who he thought was pretty. Well, one day they were at a bar and my male friend spots this girl, and she’s sitting down. So they both sit down near her, but she’s talking to someone else. So my friend starts trying to make conversation with other people at the bar while they wait to make a move-but suddenly! The Belarusian guy taps the girl on her shoulder and just says “you’re the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen” and this is a small island, it’s not like this is a random bar woman and he’s making a comment just to buy her a drink. Everyone literally knows everyone so she’s just freaked out by his approach haha. He still doesn’t have a gf and I think he may have PTSD from that encounter because he literally won’t talk to anyone anymore or go out 😅
