How to ACTUALLY fix your Ark Survival Ascended Graphics (PC)

You shouldnt have to make the game look this trash with a 4070ti, thats wild, why even buy ascended to only have to turn all of the graphics settings to low :'( EDIT: i found simply replacing all 3 of the dlss files with the most up to date ones from techpowerup mostly fixed the issue without having to sacrifice framegen and high settings

I have most things on Epic, on the althemia map Rx 7900xt and is all great, except the grass when you're running starts to flicker and before it wasn't happening

I dont have the options under Video: for Frame Generation, or Reflex Low Latency. I have DLSS enabled, and am using a 4090. Its just not listed.

turn on hardware accelerated gpu scheduling in windows graphics settings

@@shirataki7447 strangely enough I have that turned on but it's still not there. funny enough I saw those setting with my old graphics card, which didn't support that stuff, so it was greyed out/disabled by default, makes sense to me; but now with my 4060Ti they just vanished into thin air. 🤷 Honestly, I've never had so much trouble with any other game... Both ASE and ASA are prime contenders for the most annoying to set up and have running somewhat smoothly game of all time.

have flickering upon entering inventory or storage menu. DLSS, Native, DLAA, nothing helps. EDIT. found solution for that. Its ... G-Sync enabled in Nvidia panel... Now its all fixed. you need turn off the g-sync

Do you have a 4070 Card or a amd radeon rx 7900 xt or higher you can just set settings to epic.. then turn only 1 thing to high.. and thats foilage quality- then the flickering stop and game run smooth :)

hey mate how do i clear the console command list in the esc menu? i have random crap in there from ages ago

On PC, you need to navigate to your Ark folder: C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\Windows\PrimalConsole Just remove the lines you wish to disappear.

lights stop flickering when i stand still but they still flicker when i move.

Thanks for the advice! R.dynamicGlobalIlliminationMethod 0 stops the flickering but its so dark its insane! any ideas on how to resolve that? Even on Gamma 3 its DARK. im on an RTX 4090

If thats on Aberration, try to type the commands in single player first and then join official servers. Should work.
