I started film in 2024 and it's really taught me to slow TF down. My new years resolution for 2025 is to not buy any cameras this year. If I can do that I am going to get myself a leica in 2026.

One of those sous vide things from Amazon will help with the temps. I've dung my old Canon A-1 out and my old lenses. I've also adapted them to my R50. The over the counter RF lenses are weak and I don't have enough spare kidneys for the RF L's so I'm shooting my 40yo glass. I'm shooting B&W in 120, 35, and digital. Gas stations, courthouses, and post offices at night. Any signage especially neon if i can find it. Keep created, I'm enjoying your work.

I’m in a photography rut at the minute. To tackle this I’m starting to whittle out noise that is distracting. So as good as some of the channels here on KZbin are, I’ve started to unsubscribe from channels that are gear review biased, and choosing to watch channels that focus on the craft of photography. I feel this is a better use of my time. I know that there’s likely to be the odd opinion on gear on channels I watch, but I think that’s okay in moderation, I think we subconsciously compare ourselves to other creatives if they constantly have the greatest and newest gear. I don’t find that helpful. And I’m considering a photo book per month on one key activity, or event for that month. Printing my work more I think will be very rewarding. It’s something I don’t do enough of. Regarding gear, I’m just using the Canon 5D with some old Olympus OM Zuiko lenses. Simple, straight to the point. I’m also saving to replace my Leica M9 when funds permit. Miss that camera so much. Happy new year pal.
