How to add a Background Image to your Shopify Store

hey this is my first time ever using css, but after ab an hour of tinkering, I figured out that by using background-size: cover; you can use one image, any size, and cover the entire background. Idk if this helps, but yeah

Thanks for this. Works great. But have two question. The image (it's a orange pattern png) it also goes over the header and a yellow announcement bar at the top of the screen. Would you know what can cause this? So if we keep in this line: background: var(--gradient-background); Then is starts the pattern over in each different content section (like: announcement bar/header/content section 1/content section 2) So we remove that line. But then the background stays fixed, sort of as a parallax effect when you scroll. Know how to fix this? So when you scroll down you actually scroll down the background image as well? Thanks for the tutorial anyways. 👍

Hello ! This video was perfect and clear!! However, I am looking for a way to put a background image behind only certain sections. You’re probably not on online store 2.0. I would highly recommend upgrading your store to Dawn - it’s way faster

Yes you can - look for sections in the code editor, probably rich-text.section - I’ll take a closer look tomorrow. That’s a good idea for a series of videos showing how to do it to each section
