How to Add an approvals to a SharePoint list (configure Approvals)

I dont have that option, it just says create rule and manage rule under automate. The rule it lets me create is just an email rule too, have to go into power automate it seems to do any more. is there a setting that needs enabled? Im looking through list settings and not seeing anything that enables that type of approval

Why Topic1 status is not updating ? cache problem ? this approval also works with a document library ?

Hi Ami, Great video and finding. Is this still being deployed or does this need to be activated first? Somehow I cannot yet find the dropdown value ‘configure approvals’. Any thoughts?

You need to set approvals to yes under list settings

I am having the same issue but i do not see "set approvals" under list settings. I have complete control of the site.

@@dorkboi2047 is in Settings -> Versioning Settings -> Require content approval for submitted items? click yes. Olso this enable " Who should see draft items in this list?". Bye
