No. I use the ground (soil) to conduct the path back to the charger. We have ample rain, and high mineral content to the soil so I don't need a connected ground. It would help in many cases and is very simple to install, so definitely add that if you think you might need to.

Sometimes, too much extreme of a measure is not needed! An effective predator/baffle Guard(s) and Owl Cage(s) should be enough, you don't need to send all of the ground predators to the Electric Chair!😂😂😂😂

Incorrect The pvc trim is available at lowes in angle 90 degrees Also google the glue for pvc trim to add more center pvc if desired.
