Yes! Very helpful! In fact I ordered a cymbal 3 days ago thinking there was an "empty extra output" on the module... The package is now on its way, and I look at the module and there's no empty output... So I was already thinking about sending it back... Yes this video is very helpful.

How do you utilize pads 10-12? Have tried everything but I cannot make it work with my cable splitter. Any help appreciated.

Hey! I'm struggling with this as well. Since there isn't a lot of info out there, I thought i'd share what I have read so far. Biggest issue seems to be with using the wrong type of y connector. It needs to be an actual splitter cable and not a merger cable (think left/right mono going to 1 stereo input vs 2 stereo inputs combining to go to 1 stereo input). I've seen them called "breakout cables" because they take a stereo source and split it into left/right mono. The second thing i've seen is actually adjusting the crosstalk and gain for each individual pad in the module (e.g. "Tom 1" is the "head" and "Cymbal 11" is the "rim" so you'd adjust the crosstalk for each pad to be 100% respectively). I just ordered new splitter cables because I don't think the ones I originally ordered were actually "splitters." Here's what I ordered, and I'll let you know if I figure anything else out. www.amazon.com/Hosa-YPP-117-Stereo-Breakout-Cable/dp/B000068O54/ref=sr_1_3?crid=31PY3CZACB5YF&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.RfB4n4zXtrBtVVuxpgW94mT3HRfdTjhWKzkpfz9KsQHxC3wPv8Nv-vzO9_Xaa94RuNXoptt3DaJWfXk8FIP5iGU433vjwnj1VZdi2WtZRjXekBJW-XU3pOQAmfjGiwYIIOHnQRY88S0pxVeXZv7Oaq3iJg9FdOUp9kbh4BV_w62HsyAW9DcPPTCrdUjtsddTGJJeBNH0RRXQRa_9oWq4Ibyn-3XMz0_DuvgVH0PW5JI.wB1dIZIkVLFpDKIhep9yon28X0P_YgxWUKxNRCm2-tE&dib_tag=se&keywords=1%2F4%22%2Bstereo%2Bsplitter&qid=1714293266&sprefix=1%2F4%2Bstereo%2Bsplitte%2Caps%2C132&sr=8-3&th=1

@@chrisburkhardt4902 Commenting so I can get updated on this. Might get a DTX562K this week and I'm glad to know I can add another cymbal. Do you know if the way it's shown in this video will allow for at least 2 zones on the cymbal or is it limited to 1?
@chrisburkhardt49025 ай бұрын
@saturnsabyss I'm not entirely sure, but I think plugging an extra cymbal into the extra kick slot will only give you a single zone pad. Maybe use it as a second crash? Idk about the DTX562K module. I do have an update on the splitters though! I replaced my previous splitters, and now it shows pads 10-12 when i hit them in the "trigger" section. Before it would just show me "tom 1" or "tom 2" regardless of if I hit the tom or corresponding cymbal. Haven't had time to mess around with settings, but I think this is headed in the right direction. I will keep you updated as I find out more.

What if you're not using the module but instead a DAW like Logic and software like Addictive Drums 2? The software overrides the settings in the module.
