I've been working on several 10st blankets.I asked on FB to find an I- cord bind off edge. So glad I found yours excellent simple instructions with no waffling talk in between it's straight to the point which is sometimes all you want. Great Job 👍👍 and thank you so much. I can finish my work now🧶🧶❤️❤️

also, thank you for showing how to actually connect the two ends. Most tutorials leave it hanging as if we have to guess how to do that. I am so familiar with kitchener that it made total sense.

I wasn’t part of your KAL, but have been working on my Vintage Afghan for a couple of years. Wanting it finished, I put on a big push. Looking at it as it went together I thought, I want an I-cord edge, not crochet. Thank you for your KZbin video! Not only an I-cord, but on the same Afghan! Thank you! Thank you! It was easy and I love the results!

Very nice! Thanks for the video. When I'm doing an I-cord border like this, I use short DPNs and introduce another needle to knit with. This allows me to simply slide the worked stitches to the other (right) end of the working needle that holds the knitted stitches and work from there, instead of taking time to move all the stitches on that needle back to the "holding" needle. Then on the next round, I just work the last stitch on the working needle together with the first stitch on the holding needle. I don't use a holding needle on side borders but just work the last stitch on the working needle with the next stitch or purl bump on the side of the piece I'm adding the border to.

I like this. It seems too fiddly to keep moving the stitches back and forth.

Janna, thanks for all the friendly and very clear instructions. I have so enjoyed this KAL! I am still joining my blocks together. I will post a picture when I am done. After seeing the I-cord edge, I will definitely do that on my afghan. Mine will be a wedding gift for two special young folks who are getting married in September 2021. I used yarn given to me by his mother. The yarn came from her mother's stash. I call that heirloom. Thanks again!

Thank you very much for such a clear and helpful tutorial. I just did this border on my mitered square blanket and it turned out beautiful and neat. I searched for an I-cord tutorial and most if not all had you pick up stitches all around the blanket (my blanket can fit on my King bed) with a monstrously long cable and then start the border. Your version was perfect with no need to purchase more supplies. Thank you.

Hi, Jana. I finked out on the afghan project after just a couple of squares, but I do have a blanket I’m nearly finished knitting. I think this bind-off will be perfect for it. The blanket (Kemper Wray’s Coziest Memories) is done in fingering weight yarn, but I think a DK weight would be good for the border I-cord. Thanks for very clear and helpful tutorial.
