Installed it myself without any issues. The wifi signal is great even kzbin.infoUgkxE_D_sddGAdiVUKp7PkkmyxO7bRtgqmk5 when the router is located far away. I really enjoy the night vision feature that allows me to see clearly any activity near our house (mostly cars and wild animals). The motion detection is helpful to me as well to monitor what happens on our front.

How does the microphone gain screw work on microphones ? I have a new one but it seems quiet compared to the old one . Is it possible to turn up the volume by turning the screw clockwise or do you turn it anticlockwise ?

I am getting distortion in cctv audio after just few seconds of play back, the audio is perfect for only 2 secs, then there is a gradual increase in distorting sound, how to fix it? does anyone have any idea about this?

man can do this method only with analog cameras. I also bought this microphone but unfortunately it does not work with Ip cameras. I use a hybrid DVR and use it only in Ip Camera mode as NVR. I could not enable the interface> Encode Video / Audio. I can not click anything. This option, I can only do if I use the DVR in analog mode so connect analog camera. Is that so common that you can not connect an external microphone with IP cameras?

My power adapter is at the other end of my 30m cable so it would be simpler to use power from camera power connector to mic then from mic back to camera. And cos my cameras are protected by my roof overhang I'm gunna try the pre amp model, thanks for video

so can I please ask? after you configure the mic to the camera, how does the audio work out? will I use a mic in my office to talk to the person at the door? and does the person at the door, will he always be able to speak to me freely without any button? such as an intercom system? and on my mobile phone there is a selection for "talk" on a button, while looking at our security system cameras, is that for us to talk to the person at the door??? thanks for any help here as have not worked with this stuff for long.

One question: If I go for installing the audio cable into one of my cameras (your first option), and I put it on my front door outside my home, when a postman comes and speaks, I'll be able to hear him. My question is: Will he be able to hear me back from inside my house? Is this a two way audio system here in your video? Or do I have to connect a microphone separately for people to be able to hear me back ? I'm a total beginner, I appreciate your answer! Thanks again!

CCTV cameras generally don't feature in-built microphones

he literally explained why, professional cameras usually DONT come with built in microphones because of it being waterproof, adding a separate microphone IS the professional way to do it. You will mostly find microphones built in to the simple plug n play home use cameras.
