Thank you so much for this, great video! Now in Sept 2023 for Looker, when you select and hover over the 'Numeric' when creating a new field, you can now select 'Duration (sec.)' for a better time metric display of: 00:00:00 (HH:MM:SS), to avoid it looking like a percentage.

Sorry but, last time I check Avg. Engagement time formula is User engagement/Active users and it matches GA4 data. CMIWW

That's avg. engagement time per active user> User ≠ Sessions Both are correct depending on what you would like to measure

Thanks, this really help me, this is was i was looking for, but now I got another doubt, what if I want to show this data by year, as I have a graphic with the engagement time for this month but i want another that shows me the value montly for the last 6 months. is this making sense?

You should create a column chart or a time series chart where the dimension is month or year or week and the metric will be avg. Engagement time per session

When you're in the formula editor, change type from "number" to "Duration"

Hi, just to be sure, you are dividing user data with session data? Shouldn't formula be: User Engagement / Total users ? If not please explain why
@bramsqi Жыл бұрын
Because he's creating title for Averate Engagement Time per Session. If User Engagement / Total Users, that would be Average Engagement Time Per User. It depend what metric u want to show to people
