Best tutorial so far. Another tip is that you can just click "SHIFT" when selecting the borders, then change to horizontal then click shift again to select them all at once and you only have use. "STROKE" once.

That was a great tutorial. I'm surprised this function isn't already built in. I know you can add them in the print options. But sometimes I want crop marks in the actual visual file I'm working with. I wonder if you can just save the cut marks layer as a separate file and import it into whatever project you need? Awesome job! Keep up the great work.
@lous.6372 Жыл бұрын
Since the crop marks are on their own layer you should be able to just save the layer as a png (or even a JPG) and then you could use the crop marks for whatever size image you originally created them for. At least that's what I do using PE.

Thanks for this. Would you happen to know why instead of white extra 3mm I get checkerboard? After adding the strokes I can't really see the lines
@CarolAnn615 жыл бұрын
Hi, I have an older version of photoshop and have done as you have shown right up to deselecting on the art board, however, I don’t see the faint lines as you have on your art board (before you use the rectangular marque box to select the area you want to delete the lines from). Any clues as to what I have done wrong? I’ve checked the settings up to this point and they are the same as displayed by you. Thanks for your help 😁

Is there another Adobe program in which it has the ability to add crop and bleeds and you don't have to do it manually?
@EternalStationeryMelbourne5 жыл бұрын
Yes, Adobe Illustrator or InDesign. There is a link to the illustrator tutorial in the description. Photoshop is made for photo editing, while Illustrator and InDesign are made for document designing and therefore allow for crop marks and bleeds.
