Thank you. I was scout to take my slacks to the cleaners. I will have to hand sew the elastic in but after I return from my trip, with your videos, I will be altering my own clothes. Yeh!!! Never too old to learn, and your videos are succinct.

Thanks for why you cut the elastic and fit the elastic before sewing in. I know there are many ways to sew certain things, but alot times no one explains WHY they do it one way or another! Thanks so much! Subscribed!

You’re very welcome! My best friend taught me that she learns better when she understands the why behind it. So I try to include that when I’m teaching things. If I ever don’t explain please feel free to ask! :-)

Yes I need the "why" as well. I learn best this way. 😁

Great point about adding seams in side to prevent rolling! That was a total light bulb 💡 for me!

What if you want to add it in the back 7:41 ❤1

It’s close to the same idea, but only measure the amount you want to bring in. For example if it’s across the whole back and the distance from side to side is 14 in, that would be the amount you would use to make your calculations. Does that make sense? Then I would sew down one side, feed through, then sew down the other side.
