What is meant by sending over the information onto the kobo twice - the first time I sent files it worked well but as mentioned it didn’t go into the SERIES section. Once I did it a second time I just sent the books over twice - am I doing this wrong? What exactly is meant by sending info twice or if I update metadata on a book, how do I update this information onto the kobo without sending the book twice

@@Nuno-s2w you don't have to send it twice, just connecting it twice is enough! I'm not sure why it is this way, but I've read on multiple forums other people have this issue as well. First connection, you actually send / drag the book to the kobo to send the file. Then disconnect and reconnect, but no need to drag more files! If you buy / download books through the kobo app, you can send them directly to your kobo! But if you want to upload books manually, easiest way is to connect with a computer. There is a way to send it wirelessly with a code, but I haven't tried that yet. Let me figure out how that works and I'll get back to you ❣️

@@b0570nk4 hi dear! Yes I had the same issue with one book. I think it was just a faulty epub file, as I have not had this issue with any other book ever. My kobo is completely fine and works perfect with any other book, it's just the file that seems to be the issue. Sounds like that might be the case for you too!

I have books that I bought directly from the kobo store and ones that I bought somewhere else and then later loaded into my kobo, they're all working fine and nothing is crashing / breaking (:

Sometimes you need update the Metadata again. Just connect your device, go to Calibre and then go to Device on the top and update the Metadata. Maybe that helps.

Maybe youre not using the correct plugin? There's 2 plugins in calibre for kobo, and one is older. The one that is most compatible with more kobo devices has extended in the name. I think its called kobo touch extended? (Im not at my pc right now-) But basically, you can try disabling the old plugin and see if it works?

I just got a kobo libra and I sent many books through PDF via google drive but when I zoom in, it zooms in on the whole page instead of just the font😭 would using calibre to transfer files fix that issue? Hey, I already fixed it. So apparently the cable that Kobo provides with the Kobo clara bw is actually a USB-C cable that can only charge. I assume it's to prevent people from Inporting illegal books from your laptop to the Kobo. Realy stupid because it took me a while to figuere out. I guess this could be worth mentionning in your video (or a future one).

@@mikadukireads i've already been a kobo user for a lil while so much of the main stuff is fine! i have no problem transfering the books or anything but once they get on my kobo the changes i made don't show? like the cover or if its part of a serie etc (althought that bit did transfer for a single book lol) i'm working mostly with ao3 fics so i'm wondering if that might be the problem maybe? (they are in epub tho)
