Yes in the list of mods you are using put Compatible Show Health Redux as the last mod on that list to be in the last spot for the load order for the missions and events to show up if using the Improved Health Bars.

Most of the mods will def. break but the quick config is working again so I would use it if you are reserved about doing the work. It is a super simple mod manager to use for 76.

DUDE...thanks for the video, been trying to figure out how to remove vignette from the game this worked like a charm. using an optimized ini file but had to go through hoops because the way you have it didn't work, had to fiddle around a bit. had to look at the FO76 stock ini and archive to get it working where - wasn't working and had to be =. ended with this. sResourceArchive2List = NV.ba2, CrosshairVignetteRemover.ba2, PowerArmorCleanHUD.ba2 sResourceDataDirsFinal=\ bInvalidateOlderFiles=1

I wonder why mine didn't work for you. I am glad you got it working though. I know putting mods on games isn't always a one shoe fits all for folks but that is why I more suggested finding an optimized one from the folks who have the mods going because mine has been using those lines for such a long time. I am so happy Quick Config got an update so I could go back to just using that for everything again.

I installed, copy and paste, rename, saved and did every single step as the video says and the mods just won't work No crashes, bugs, errors, nothing, just normal fallout 76

There must be an error somewhere because these steps worked for me. Try to get one of the files with the bit setup already to see if there might be an error in the ini file 🤘

I have never been able to get the Vortex manager working for 76 but I know a few folks have gotten it to work. I use the Quick Config since it got updated.

You can get banned for a lot in a live service game. I run them and I am open about showing the ones that I use so I wouldn't think that you would get banned. If someone was going to get banned it would be me since I am so open about it but they are just QoL mods that I think should be in the game so I don't see a problem with them. They don't give me an advantage over other players but make the game more enjoyable to my playstyle.

I actually installed all the mods you ran, but when the 2 health bar mods were running, and the various explosion graphics limiter mods were added the game stopped showing my pinned quests on screen. Checked the in game settings to no avail. Took those ones out and it ran fine with the inventory management etc

You have to have the compatible health redux in the last spot for the health bar to work. I need to edit the pinned message to show that.

The quick config got an update and I have it doing my mods for Steam and the Gamepass account. There is a profile that you have to setup for it. I was thinking about doing a new video since Quick Config got an update. I love being able to put these mods in the game.

The Better Inventory just got an update on the autopatch. That should help you from crashing when you open up your inventory. That is the issue with mods sometimes it can cause some unforeseen issues to pop up if things get an update. We added it to our collection for folks. Still a shame they aren't adding official mod support anymore, even though it would be profitable. All they need to do is have it locked behind a new DLC that adds in an Offline/Limited multiplayer mode. Where players can make a server on their computer or their own server bank, and then mod it much like previous fallout games. Could even call it the Prepared Future DLC. With an image of a vault tec rep with a word bubble "Prepared for the future" To allow the game to exist even if the servers ever go down. Maybe hosting a competition to advertise it, where a selection of mods get picked to then be put INTO the base game in the Atom Shop that make use of the 76 Creation Kit. Filtering out legal issue or overly mature mods, etc.

In a live service game you can get banned for any reason honestly. I have been running Quality of Life mods like these since 2018 and have never had anything said to me. Just be careful in what mods you use.

I only play in a private server anyways so I dont think it should be bannable since it wouldnt affect anyone else but wasnt sure

I've never been able to get the Vortex manager to work with 76 but I have a few friends that have. You can use the Quick Config with the update in the forum but you can't change any game settings from what people have said.

“Not exactly accurate” As a new player who has never played a fallout game in his life. 1. I purchased 76 2. Installed quick configuration 3. Downloaded zip files of mods I wanted 4. Placed them all on the same folder on my desktop 5. Used quick configuration to import and load them Solved and worked as of one month ago. On PC using steam The ONLY issue is 1. There is a mod that has to be last in the configurator order (loaded) for it to work and if not it can possibly break stuff… it says it literally in the comment section on nexusmod 2. You cannot “tweak” game settings with configuration or it breaks certain mods like tweaking the Pip-boy - it will also break the game leave most settings default within quick configuration Current level 46 been playing for 3/4 weeks and entirely a new player cause I watched the show. I do t follow a specific quest, I’m sure I’m all over the story line cause I do everything in no specific order 😂 - I couldn’t tell you what is a side mission vs the main story cause I do everything. Like I have collecting honey, build satellite tower which I’m doing now, visit the night club and visit Fort whatever 😂 I’ll do them whenever I’m closes to I use all the same mods as you but the one that shows weekly events / calendar It wouldn’t work, however map, health bar, inventory, best graphics for PC aka all the important ones do and once set I haven’t touched it again I also based it on an older video you made, just read the install files / instructions and “comments” of the mods to verify I wasn’t missing stuff. Some mods have the updates / newer versions not on the main page but the comment section instead on the mod you want

How is none of this accurate? I use this method to run mods on my gameplay. Also, I added the bit in about the project being unmaintained but still working for me in the video and said you could still use the project if you wanted to but at your own risk. The compatible health redux needs to be at the final bit of your load order to make the improved health bar work properly. I love how easy it is to install the mods with Quick Configuration but also wanted to make sure folks knew that the main project is unmaintained. It does have some folks trying to fix the issues but I can't suggest it like I did last year with the mod creator leaving it unmaintained on Nexus. Hopefully someone picks the project up so I can suggest it again fully. That is what I used up until two months ago but I wanted to do it the manual way to show folks it wasn't a problem.

@@Fargassier Well not accurate is because most people who have issues are probably... 1. new 2. not very pc literate (I work in the field at a high level) 3. dont read (basic IT 101 support type of issues) 4. need to be spoon fed if #1, #2 and #3 are remotely accurate When I first started I tried to rush through based on a old video you did, hence the lack of reading + trying to configure quick config first for graphics then I did a bit of digging around and took my time to read (uninstall all the mods from quick config) I found 1. A reddit post about checking the comment section for updated versions of a mod within nexus (on the mod file you wanted itself) 2. read the descriptions which explain quite a bit if the main person took his time to actually write something where the "not accurate" part comes into play is 1. you dont have to manually do anything, it works Im proof just be through and your old video is accurate just missing some of the above key elements out (like the newer versions being in comment section of a mod and dont edit the graphics on quick config or pipboy) and 2. Its not broke, but basically #1 above is two parts written in one long paragraph. its not broke and dont edit the quick config (just use the mod install part of it only) read the mod you download + check the comment section of it for newer versions **** It's not a bad video but the key here is very simple 1. download quick config 2. download all the mods (dont use NOTHING ELSE in quick config) 3. install the mods and on #2 check the comment section of the mod for newer versions and make sure there are no "it has to be last or conflicts with this mod" stuff thats it as long as its all pointed in the right folders it does all the work like you said. I did nothing special. The only thing I couldnt get to work but didnt try again after the first fail attempt was that weekly / calendar / map mod you had I would like something to find resources or find whats going on, but I have not attempted this, I just wanted to play inventory is very helpful, graphics of course (even tho my pc is a beast) , and health bar visuals those are key components so I got those and stopped caring. to be even MORE specific I used the following... - Better Inventory ( works ) - Improved Heath Bars ( works ) - Event notification (I dont think is working right) - Chat mod (last loading) (works, but I dont talk to people cause I dont know people, haha)

Your initial message with the first line being "None of this is accurate" gives people in the comment section the feeling of the video itself is inaccurate not the info in regards to the Quick Config, as I said in the video still worked for me. I am one of those people that does work in the tech field and have been working around mods for a minute through playthroughs so I know I sometimes need to check the forums and comments for updates. The community calendar worked for me on the mod config but just have to make sure you are using the updated version with the Season 16 release. As a creator you have to understand why I am giving the information as it is unmaintained and that just installing it manually will lead them to less of a headache for the user. As someone who works in tech you must understand that. If you would kindly rephrase your initial comment to reflect that it isn't the video you have a problem with it is the fact that Quick Config still works for you. So something like, "Quick Config still works for me with a little work" as the header message. Because the only thing that can be seen is this: None of this is accurate. @@Fargassier The “as someone who works in tech you should understand that” I do, that’s why I said manually typing and editing configurations is NOT what you would recommend If I was doing basic help desk stuff which I don’t, ( I do cyber security + intune / azure configurations most of my day with compliance checks and remediation) I would NOT have end users aka gamers aka clients manually do anything I’d have it automated, then I’m taking them out of the equation. In this case, quick config doing the work, does just that All they have to do is 1. Not edit quick configuration and ONLY use it for loading mods - literally don’t use it for NOTHING else but importing mods 2. Make sure mods are the newest version 3. Make sure none of them say “load in a specific order” With the 4 mods I listed only ChatMod needs to be last, rest can go anywhere. This is automation at its finest Wouldn’t call there being work, it’s just making sure you don’t mess with quick configurations settings : IE - editing pipboy or graphics inside quick configuration, why? Because mods do that + quick configuration isn’t maintenance. (This is what creators aren’t mentioning in their videos and what actually breaks stuff) You never add work to end users in a world where things can be automated for IT If you did, you’d have way more issues. There is a reason everyone uses MDM solutions and ITSM solutions now - since we are talking about IT work Same concept

The way I look at mods in relation to IT work is like instructing a user how to change their rollers out on a printer because it is information that is great to teach people so they can learn a little bit of how things work behind the scenes. While like I have said multiple times and in the video Quick Config worked for me but I can't advise anyone to use it in the state it is right now even if it just works because reputation means something to me. I would rather teach someone to fish than to give them the fish in relation to learning how to manually mod especially when the steps for this are simple to follow and understand. That is why most mods that I have listed have a Fallout76Custom.ini as an optional download and they can skip steps in the procedure. Did you happen to see my message a few weeks back on the comments of the Quick Config mod? You will see there that I ask what problems people are having and how I wasn't experiencing any problems.
