How to Add MUSIC From Computer to iPhone, iPad or iPod

If you have music on your computer and you want to transfer it to your iPhone, this is the video for you.
Transferring and adding music is a two-step process.
Step 1: Take the song from the computer and drag them onto iTunes.
You'll need iTunes to transfer to your iPhone.
If you don't have iTunes, download it here.

Step 2: Now that the song is on iTunes, connect your phone to your computer. You'll need to change a setting to be able to manually transfer songs or videos. You'll get there by clicking the iPhone icon to top left that shows up when a physical connection is made.
Once you click that, you can simply drag and drop the songs from the iTunes library to your iPhone folder on the site.

Michael Fumento what I did was click iPhone icon on iTunes on pc. Then click done bottom right. Then it allows me to drag drop . Must do this everytime. Also if you don’t see the iPhone icon is bc on the phone it supposed to see trust the device connected to the iPhone which is your computer

@@zichragland8880 Instead of opening iTunes, try clicking the songs icon at the bottom of your iPhone (the Music note symbol). Click on downloaded and songs. They should be in there.

@@andrewfredericksen Disconnect your iPhone from your computer and go into settings on your phone then music and turn off sync library, after that plug your iPhone back into your computer and drop your music. After that turn sync library back on to get your other music from iTunes.

Thanks very much. I did things a little differently, but your video was VERY helpful. In my case for my iPod Touch 4th Gen, I did not have any files on my device deleted by dragging and dropping files across using the technique you described in your video. And my device was not linked nor was any music synced with my computer etc. Am so glad that I did not have to go though all the usual hassle of having the device syncing Gigabytes of the data on my iPod to my computer first. After adding the songs I then went into the "Recently Added" section on my device via iTunes on Windows and selected all those items and added them to a New Playlist. Worked out well! cheers 👍 JB

Same happened to me, go into your iPhone settings, go to music, and turn off the setting titled "Sync Library". You should be able to do it now.

Just click manage videos and it will work. Go into settings and disable iCloud Music(I do not know how it works without Apple Music but this is the way I did it). It will delete your music TEMPORARILY! If you have apple music just turn iCloud music back on and it will all come back, including the song(s) you downloaded.
