How to add or claim your Business Profile on Google

Let's learn how to add or claim your business profile on Google.
1. Open the google.com/business page on your web browser.
2. Click on the Manage Now button at the top right.
3. Type your Gmail ID and click on the Next button.
4. Enter your Google password and click on the Next button.
5. Type your Business Name in the first text field, type your business category in the second field, and click on the Next button.
6. Select the Yes radio button to add your business location, and click on the Next button.
7. Enter the details of your business address, like Country name, Street address, City, State, and Zip Code.
8. After completing the form, click on the Next button.
9. Google will show you some business names, if this is your business name then you can claim it by selecting the radio button of a business name.
10. I selected the radio button of None of these and clicked on the Next button.
11. You can set the location of your business by positing the marker on this next screen and clicking on the Next button.
12. If you provide deliveries or home and office visits, then select the radio button of Yes, and click on the Next button.
13. You can add the areas you serve and click on the Next button.
14. You can add your contact details to show your customers, I am clicking on this skip button.
15. Select the radio button of Yes in the get updates screen, and click on the Next button.
16. Select a way to get verified, and click on the Next button.
17. You can customize your business profile by selecting business hours, accept messages, and other details, click on the Next button.
18. Add a business description, and click on the Next button.
19. You can claim your advertising credit on the Next screen, but I am clicking on this Skip button.
20. Click on the Continue button on the next screen.
21. See, we have successfully added our business on Google. Once I verify this, my Google business profile will be visible to the public.

this did not help me claim a business that already exists that i lot access to the owner email. following these steps creates a duplicate business.
