I was very disappointed when my echo show 8 arrived without all the features that are available on the 5. What is Amazon thinking, when you pay more you normally get more, not less. Totally agree that they need to sort this and many other issues out. Amazon, Gaurd mode needs to come to the UK also. Great video, keep it up.

Echo a show 5; I’ve set my background up as an album, but it just stops on the last photo in that album. Is there a way to loop so it always changes (random order change)? Nice dog pics btw!

I just boxed up and returned the Echo Show 8 to exchange for the old Echo 5 - 1st Gen only because I want to change the clock face and determine how the clock digital numbers should show. Unreal that Amazon removed that functionality in the newer models. At least I get to save $100... Also, my black Echo 8 that they sent me came with a white power cord. Really??? It's those little details Amazon...

I have the Echo Show 5 and notice that some of your photos occupy full screen whereas, like mine, your single upload only occupies the middle of the screen with a blur either side. How do you get a photo to occupy the full screen?

Hi Simon I’ve figured out this issue . This is what I did . I made an album from my iPhone photos (called Alexa) I edited each photo to 16.9 landscape . I then added this album to the Alexa app and all my photos now fill the whole screen . I hope this helps.

I have an Echo, and its just impossible to upload photos from my iphone, never mind from Amazon's cloud. Been trying all day. All the YT videos are different, but make no sense with my software. I give up and am going to throw my 2 x echos away after first putting a hammer to them. What a carry on. Great video and well presented though.

I wanted a device that I could display calendar events on the home screen 24/7 and also one that could tell you when birthdays are. Instead the calendar is hidden in a side swipe wigget screen. When I ask about birthdays listed in my calendar, it searches the web for celebrities that have the same name. Very disappointed with the lack of basic customization.

After saving, the home screen changes to show weather but then after 10 seconds goes into the slideshow and I can’t get it to show the home screen with weather again

I have just got my Eco Show 8, every time I now go onto the home screen background setting on my device in the Alexa app, it comes up with that the settings could not be loaded, saying it could be offline (which it isn’t) or awaiting an update (which it doesn’t)

yes. i've added my favourite music videos to my amazon photo storage and when I ask Alexa to play my photos, this includes my music videos - it works quite well, but you seem to need to tap on the screen as each video is displayed in order to hear the music and see the full video - otherwise it passes quickly onto the next photo or video

Delores McEachern you can. Absolutely for free as well. You don’t need a phone near by either. It’s awesome and it sounds great. Hopefully one day we can receive calls lol. Get yourself smart bulbs you can make some awesome routines.

I should be able from m PC, using the Alexa app, or Amazon Photos apps on m PC and create Folders/Albums and drag and drop the photos I want to use. Or connect to m NAS or via the micro USB an external drive with the photos I want to use. This would be like any digital Photo Frame. This is so clunky
