Thanks for the vid. How do you do POI for aerial photos.please?
@BendigoAerial2 ай бұрын
I'll have to create a video on this. But you must add an image and then clone it for several POI's.

I was that guy for a little bit until I felt there had to be a better way. But I use the two tools you use, and I also add a drop shadow to have the line show up better and mask out the line if it goes behind the house/building.

Nice work, your giving away all the secrets now :-) The drop shadow is the cherry on top - love it!

Hey there. Thanks for the video. A great help. Do you happen to know how to show this as an animation at all? I've watched quite a few videos and they mostly involve After Effects. Got to be an easier way. I need this as I work for a Real Estate business.
@BendigoAerial Жыл бұрын
I animate the lines in Adobe Premier Pro using an Effect called "Write-On". But in Photoshop - what do you mean? As in a GIF image? You could use "ezgif" online to create the GIF and animate each JPG in photoshop. But it's time-consuming.
@56hepcat Жыл бұрын
@Bendigo Aerial Hey thanks for the speedy reply. Just need to do an animation of a property line being drawn around the perimeter. I'll look up what you use and see how I go. In PowerDirector they have animation lines and shapes you can just drag in, but I need to be able to draw a polygon like yours and then have it animate. Just over a JPG file, but over a video would be handy also. That's more complex I know, needing motion tracking etc.
@BendigoAerial Жыл бұрын
@@56hepcat I might be interpereting this incorrectly, but a JPEG file is a static file. Once you animate it, it will become a GIF or a Movie file. (It wont be a JPEG file anymore. So like a cartoon, you can create 10+ jpegs with the line at different spots of the polygon and then use EZYGIF to combine all JPEGS into 1 animation. You could do this in P/Director as well, with just the line tool.

@Bendigo Aerial Yes, I hear what you're saying. I'm simply using video from my drone and then importing a JPG to use with an animated line over the top, to show the property boundary. Powerdirector used to have animation lines, squares etc, buy they seem to have disappeared from my copy of Powerdirector 365. They are okay for some properties, but this one I'm currently working on, requires a 7 sided polygon shape. I ended up using two JPGs. One without the property line and then used the same JPG with the property line. Then I use a mask to reveal it. I don't understand why Powerdirector doesn't have polygon animation shapes where we are able to adjust the corners. This would be real handy. I'll look up what you suggested.

I do know the software GIMP is on IOS as well but it has a low rating. GIMP is a free alternative. (Or try PIXLR)

Although I followed the instructions when I exported the image it did not show the boundary lines. I can see it in Photoshop but not when exported
@BendigoAerial2 жыл бұрын
You can export as "Save As" and export to JPEG. Check your export settings but it shouldn't;t make a difference.

@@ashleylees2562 Sorry cant help you further on it, not sure what the issue is. I just go to file save as JPEG and it saves all layers. Which is my default setting for all photoshop files.

I’ve read that there could be some real estate liability placed on the drone pilot if the lines aren’t exactly accurate. Has anyone ever encountered this?
@BendigoAerial6 ай бұрын
Not to my knowledge - The title of the property has the exact boundary lines and this is what is used generally with conveyancing. Even Google maps is not 100% correct due to bearings and declination errors.

Photoshop is the recommended method, however, if you use GIMP or other free software, the same applies.
