So basically fly up and take distant photos while doing an orbit?? Sorry, but this video doesn't help newcomers at all. Things to cover would be different angles AND heights and additional proper features. This property is not good for aerial photography due to it literally being up close to other lots. It has no land or additional features like a pool, barn, tennis court, tree house, etc. These are all additional features that aerial photos can depict but require additional angles. Not just an up-high photo taken via an orbit. No offense at all. I'm only offering constructive criticism.

Hi Brett, what format do you usually shoot in? My drone is only 12MP. The 16:9 can look great for wide shots but I'm thinking i probably should stay 4:3 so it doesn't crop?
@reviewprodigyАй бұрын
I shoot in 3:2 ratio. That means you can deliver without cropping.
@reviewprodigyАй бұрын
But if your drone doesnt shoot in 3:2 ratio then 16:9 is the way to go and crop it in post to 3:2 later

Most budget drones have 12 megapixel sensor for photos. Is that enough to start with real estate photography ? Thank you.
@reviewprodigy5 ай бұрын
You can use them when starting out and then upgrade once you get going. Just make sure you shoot in RAW

Hey Brett - As someone who has been flying drones for a while now and is eager to get into the commercial aspect, what is the prospect of flying drones for real estate without offering other services such as interior. Do you find there is still a market for those simply only offering drone services? Thanks!
@reviewprodigy7 ай бұрын
There is definitely a market as just a drone photographer. In fact I will be transitioning my business to do just that over the next year or so.

Great video Brett. I'm in Perth and I'm looking to enter the real estate drone photography game. How much do you charge per house for this service? Does it include something like 20 edited photos from all the different angles the realtor would require? Cheers!
@reviewprodigy7 ай бұрын
Usually is only about 4 or 6 angles. 2 shots of the land and 2-3 of the locations. Depending on your area and what agents are willing to pay you can get anywhere fron $150 per shoot to $440
@ArthurOfficial6667 ай бұрын
@@reviewprodigy Thanks a lot Brett. I just had a real estate agent book me in for a job, and I quoted $250 for 10 shots (3 of which I'll include the block dimensions and landmark indicators. Maybe I sold myself a tad short!
@reviewprodigy7 ай бұрын
@@ArthurOfficial666 No, Thats not too bad. Over time keep the price the same but give them a little less as they really wont use them anyway. They will use 1 or 2 block shots and then 1 to 3 location angles and that will be it. $250 is a good starting point though:)
@ArthurOfficial6667 ай бұрын
@@reviewprodigy Ok great. Thanks for a the tips! Do you think I should gradually increase the price over time? I'll see how I go with $250 for starters and go from there. Cheers for the replies Brett!
@reviewprodigy7 ай бұрын
@@ArthurOfficial666 Maybe, it depends on your market. You are in the sweet spot now where you should get plenty of work. Agents tell me all the time if I'm too expensive or too cheap so just listen to whats being said and go from there.

I have a question hoping you might know the answer: My pictures are coming out great, but my videos when I put them in lighthouse classic, the pixels are moving all over the place. So, the videos look terrible! Do I have terribly wrong settings? I think the setting are in auto, I'll have to recheck. What would cause this?
@reviewprodigy7 ай бұрын
It depends on what you are filming and what time of day.Whether you are inside or outside ect. if you are filming at night in auto mode you will have a lot of noise(moving grainy dots) in your footage. You will need to set to manual mode and go from there. If you are filming outside in daylight then auto should still give you good footage but manual settings are always best.

Funny how markets differ. I live in Sweden and work with real estate photography. Here absolotely no one demands the kind of photos you took there with the drone. Drone footage, yes, that’s in high demand but here no one would bother to even look at those shots.

Flying over other people's properties is going to pull those Karen's out of the woodwork! In Nevada they claim 250ft above other people's property as a could get you into trouble for invasion of privacy. Fucking Nevada drives me nuts!

@reviewprodigy6 ай бұрын
Good question! I walked into agencies in my area and handed them a pricelist and introduced myself. I got two or three customers that way. I also contacted them via Facebook. That worked pretty well as well. Once you get started it will snowball as agents move between jobs alot so they will refer you when they get to a new job.
