one quick question my guy, is there another free alternative for the realtoon shader?
@Voltage201Games Жыл бұрын
That gives you the exact same effects? Not that I know of, but you can toy around with poiyomi and get kinda close

I'm struggling to get the spotlight that you provided to work. When I add it on to the scene it just... doesn't do anything. Any advice?
@Voltage201Games2 жыл бұрын
I havnt gotten that result, ive started 5 new versions and started from scratch and cannot replicate this issue. Are you not getting shadows in the unity editor? is the light not on? If you can provide more details 💛
@belchygoblin2 жыл бұрын
@@Voltage201Games Im having the same problem, the light is on and set up the same way as the video but theres no shadows being cast
@Voltage201Games2 жыл бұрын
@@belchygoblin run a test in a brand new project just to make sure it's not something else in the project causing issues, also check if you have the same unity version as in the video etc.

don't use fade transparency, there should be a check box to enable transparency. if you use fade transparency if you use any particles they will interfere with your clothing and make it disappear, but i guess if all you are using your model for is Vtubing then there isn't much you have to worry about.
@Voltage201Games Жыл бұрын
This is strictly for Vtubing only. Also you need to use the fade in some cases as just the transparency box doesn't get the desired effect some times
@RaynCaelus Жыл бұрын
There is a really easy way to stop the particles from making the clothes disappear. If you are using Poiyomi shaders go all the way to bottom and click Rendering Options - Blending and change Alpha Blend Op to Max instead of Add. This will prevent fade/transparent from causing that issue.

Why this adjustments are only working un vseeface?
@Voltage201Games2 жыл бұрын
Thats because you have to export it with the VSF SDK. If you export it as a VRM then none of the lighting, shaders or animations stick. VseeFace is the only application to support these functions

How did you do the two tone hair ?

My hair is made up of 165 individual strands, so I just textured half one way and half another way

Stylized models are not looking as good with real shadows, games like Genshin for example fake shadows, they are still driven by a light source but they are pre-defined, in Blender it is easy nowadays with a shadow map (just a texture but with some shader node magic it actually does proper shadows, driven by a sunlight). Maybe one day we have an option for that.
