I loved the abstract nature of the dandelions! What a neat trick at the end, grated & rolled pastel. I found the background music really soothing, which is good for the soul ❤

Very cleverly done, Susan. When the Holy Spirit is a part of you; the imagination creates that which is good. ❤️

Theres a great pastel book from mark leach called raw colour with pastels ,its increadible worth buying ,hes no longer on earth ,but im surprized how you tube has no mention of such a great genius of minimal pastel mastery.

Did you place the pastel paper horizontally on a table before grating the pastels and rolling the can to press the dust in, or is the surface still vertical?
@monetcafe Жыл бұрын
I laid the painting flat on a table before dusting the pastel on it. That way it wouldn’t fall off.

Susan, do you only paint smaller paintings or do you paint all different sizes?
@monetcafe Жыл бұрын
I actually like to paint in larger sizes but since I’m doing so many teaching videos the smaller sizes are definitely faster to produce. I like work in a 16” x 20” size but the largest Pastel Painting I’ve ever done is 36” x 24”.

@@monetcafe I would love to see that painting.😊 I love to work large, but I have a wee studio (no complaints -- I am grateful to have a studio at all!).
