Both styles are interesting Jack! I can certainly understand the need to mix styles up. I prefer a high natural curve for myself. I think that space you had between your mustache and your initial high naturally curved cheek line added some individual character to your beard.

I typically like a more natural looking beard line, but this trim was great. Jack has a great point when he shares that his beard grows so fast, why not try different styles. Nice look Jack!

Beardbrand is no joke. I was properly skeptical about spending so much on their stuff, but had a YOLO moment this month and bought their moustache wax. Bloody hell - unreal quality and smells lush. Never imagined I would sit at my desk at work sniffing a stick of moustache wax, and was getting funny looks from colleagues until I made them smell it too. THEN bearbrand announced it was withdrawing from Europe. Fuck sake lol

I can't think of anything more annoying than having a beard shape that I could not maintain at home, I'd struggle to shave in the nearly 90 degree cut every few days

Great look to try out. Looks a bit tidier... I personally prefer the before as it seems similar enough to not warrant the extra maintenance. Plus, those things you call gaps are probably the most interesting and unique thing about your beard.

@@PhillyBoyFitness I think it was because of the beard/mustache ratio. But it was his yeard, that's a time of patience, experiencing growth and selfcare. So I would never blame him for that. I have great respect. Though I didn't love it, but I still liked the meaning behind it and the journey.

I have the same growth pattern. I woulda stuck with the first curve trim. Beard was fine in the beginning. I would have left the neck the way it was. To me the less you take off the better.
