In this video i show you how you can store the "slide in tools" (Tweezers, Needle, Toothpick or Firefly) in the knife body, if you have a knife without tool slots on the scales (Bundeswehr Taschenmesser, Schweizer Soldatenmesser, 111mm SAK's with wooden scales and some more...)

Bravo Felix 👏 I don’t even own a 111mm SAK and I watched the whole video. I’m still loving having a needle and thread in my 91mm SAK’s with the plus scales and opening the hidden slot for tweezers. Great stuff 😊

I've had all sorts of knives, but the Swiss Army knife is one that will always have a place in my heart. I have a bunch of Wenger's in my collection, but there's nothing like the original Victorinox. I was happy when they finally bought out Wenger in the early 2000's.

Now, that is very clever. Amazing, never thought of customizing my SAKs like you showed. Actually, I even found a little cavity into which I slid a cylindrical Neodymium magnet, plus a small circular one into the underside of the can opener. 😉Have a super weekend! Best always, Wendi 🌻

Good point, Wendi, I put a small rectangular neodymium into the bottle openers open space. Must be a little careful when opening this particular tool, but since the magnet sticks, there's little danger of losing it...

A+++ Class. I've been storing needles in hollow spaces but never considered shrink tube to hold them in place. s for tweezers and toothpicks, they are the most used by me. So I never would consider buying the other SAK styles. Now I may.

Hi Felix, my name is Adam and I am an Australian living in Austria, a Victorinox SAK lover (I have 7 of them) and a fan of your videos. I have a tip I created myself for carrying a pin on any Victorinox SAK of any size with the hook tool on the back ( you called it a needle on your video but it is a pin). First you need a pin with a small round plastic head, they are known as sewing pins and come with different coloured round plastic heads. Take a fine file and file down 2 opposite sides of the round plastic pin head until the plastic head is equal to the size of the hook slot on the Victorinox SAK (I used the small file on my Leatherman Micra and held the plastic pin head in the pliers of my Cyber Tool Lite). Ideally, it should slide into the slot fairly easily. When it fits, position the pin in the hook end of the opened hook and slowly close the hook tool into the SAK, while making sure the pin is positioned under it. The pin will fit easily and neatly under the hook when it is folded shut and be undetectable. If my explanation is not clear and you wish to use it on your videos I can send you photos or a video of the procedure. I hope this was of interest and use to you and thanks again for your many useful tips and tricks.😄

Definitely gonna store tweezers in slots and a pin behind the screw on my German army victorinox. I would add a firefly mini ferro pick but im good with my ferro bead thats on my lanyard on the knife. I probably may, it may be redundant but can be a plus to have a back up. Plus its so small that its not gonna kill the knife.

Very creative as always Felix. It doesn’t work for me though. I don’t like loose parts in my SAK. To me, this solution solves the problem of adding more tools but it creates the problem of parts falling out when you use, for example, the wood saw or the knife blade. Instead, I’d just carry a second SAK, such as the Compact or any other 91mm with plus scales. Thanks for the video my friend

Hi, Felix! Thank you for the vise advice - I will do it tomorrow. 2 subjects for the future videos are 1) Modify the little ones, like Sportsman, Waiter or maybe Bantam. 2) How to do the hole for the clips or paracord lanyard in Alox Solo - there must to be something for them, because to loose this knife is very very easy. I am looking for any solution, because the old ones made from plastic are equipped with the lanyard hole too. I just want this hole on the Alox version of SOLO. I need a hole to put something in, for keep it without checking it in the pocket every hour. Please, try to find the solution, I will wait! And all those officer series which smaller than 9.1 but bigger than the "Baby SAK" with scissors, the most used tool in my life. I remember, I told you that I bought Bantam because I couldn't find the Solo. Its not the same, I realized, but Sentinel was the solution, but its a big model with the locker, while I need something with no lockers and 9 sm. So this is the issue..😉 Have a great weekend, and see you next Friday! Siegfried

I tried to use a foil wrapper to pretend to store something in my corkscrew, and it worked! I found that I needed to fold it into a long rectangle, and then roll it up into a roll of the same length. After that, I wound it in the coil of the corkscrew, as opposed to screwing the foil into the corkscrew. By the way, I realized that it might be better to leave the toothpick, tweezers, and things, where they are supposed to be, and then put the flint and tinder under the saw and file. Also, we can stuff some tinder under the scissors!

Happy Friday Maestro Felix, I wish you & family a happy, healthy & prosperous new year. Thank you for the new video of useful & very easy modification tips. I personally only own those 111mm models that have the corkscrew as I find the Philips screwdriver as a back layer tool of very limited use compared to an in-line Philips model. For me a corkscrew is principally useful as a Tool Holder holding either a Fire Ant & Tinder spiral or a Mini-screwdriver holding down a Tinder spiral when I have a Firefly ferro rod in place of the toothpick. I have known about the space under the saw & main blade on 111mm models such as the Forester & Outrider for some time & have placed a sewing needle with some cotton tightly coiled around it as well as a straight pin wrapped up tightly in a little strip of tin foil ( AKA kitchen Aluminum foil ) in the gap & held in place with 2 little strips of electrical tape which can be easily lifted up to release the little bundle of tools & the tape being PVC is both waterproof & reusable many times.

Electrical tape often leaves a residue, and is an unnecessary purchase. Your good thinking gave the idea of using food wrappers that have foil in them. Typically, we throw these away. After washing them, we can store items in there. If we wrap the items with the paper side out, then hopefully, the wrapper won't dull any blades.

@@FelixImmler I just realized that it might be possible to store a rolled up wrapper inside the corkscrew! We could maybe store thread, or cotton in the wrapper. We could also store a rubber band in the corkscrew.
