Love it... After a few attempts at calling my property management, opening maintenance ticket that get closed with "we fixed the problem" (Infuriating, as they clearly have not) I resorted to youtube. It did not disappoint and I was able to fix my building front door on my own.

Thank you for this video. My roommate is in an abusive relationship and he and his chick are always wasted and slamming all the doors around. Now at least they can't slam the front entrance door cuz I got that L(last 10%) hydraulic set tighter than a pickle jar.

Thanks for this. My apartment block has a hydraulic gate as the pedestrian entrance so of course about 3 people actually close it themselves. The rest let it slam home all the time, rocking the front half of the building. Think I'll not wait for the maintenance guy this time.

Was that twice that you adjusted the latching speed? At the end of the video, it was a lot softer than when you were outside of the building that few seconds before.

If the door closer becomes disconnected in the middle, should the door still be lined up perfectly in the frame? There’s a door at a local business that was recently replaced. The closer became disconnected in the middle, but the door also didn’t line up properly when attempting to manually close it.

That is called a “maglock.” You can find them with a quick Google search

“Closure” is what you seek when your girlfriend breaks up with you suddenly and moves back to Chicago without you. .. … Which is NOT the same thing as a door “closer.”

Opposite end of the 2 screws shown. Should be a screw to increase that pressure
