How to adjust a uPVC door on a Powersheds Log Cabin

Powersheds log cabins are fitted with uPVC doors and windows. When installing a log cabin door you must firstly ensure the door frame is square and level on each side. Once you are satisfied the door frame is square and level you can screw the door fascias to the logs and then you can adjust the doors accordingly to fit. Log cabins are made from timber and so over time there will be natural movement. This means you may need to re-adjust the uPVC doors every once in a while. My doors don't seem to have the screws for pulling in tighter but the allen key trick worked for moving the door across so that the door 'wheel' managed to catch the bar and tighten as I pulled the handle up - brilliant! We had paid a guy £40 or so to fix that and all he managed to do was knock a hole in the top inside of the door! I think I managed to cure a big draught around my front door by tightening a big downward-facing bolt on the bottom hinge -it took a lot of tightening/number of turns and the gaps seem to have gone! Brilliant again.

You have to loosen the screws inside the cover to make lateral adjustments.

Hi we have a new back upvc door and 2 of the 4 cam rollers are very loose. Should they be solid or wobbly? Many thanks.

For hight adjustments upwards which way would you turn the Allen key? Similarly for lateral movements in and out.

It’s the larger of the two Allen key bolts on the underneath of the hinge on the frame. Turn this to the right and you should see the hinge on the frame lift. Take note of how many turns you do and repeat with the other two hinges.
