Thank you for the great tip. I Just had a Rinehart 2into1 exhaust installed by my Harley dealer and they didn’t even bother to check clearance between brake pedal and muffler shield (they are constantly touching when brake is at rest) I will fix this myself today. Thanks again and keep up the great videos!

Just done my Sport Glide pedal - to move it down first slacken the nut a couple of turns or more before removing the pin, then you can wind the clevis in. Now my brake pedal is under my foot where it should be. Previously my foot was hanging off the side of the peg because the pedal was in the way.

Exactly what I needed but my exhaust is in the way. Can’t move the pedal enough to rotate the adjustment. 2007 ultra classic.

The most forward adjustment is about 5 mills on the piston rod, which gives you a fair amount at the pedal

Hey Alf, sorry to rain on your parade but in order to unwind the u bracket, you do need to remove the the brake pedal arm you also have to loosen the jam nut that sits against the u bracket , I un wound it and the brake pedal arm was pretty much the same. Putting the pin back in was almost a two man job because now the hole does not line up it’s bloody tricky. I ended turning the u bracket back in but if you want to turn it in more you have to turn the jamb nut in which puts more pressure on the spring that is inside the rubber boot. So that was three hours of my life I will never get back , so the net result is the pedal cannot be adjusted , I am back where I started .

Oh that’s odd. It wasn’t that much for me and I found it did adjust it. Yes it’s tight in there but there should be some slight movement. Ok thanks for letting us know

Thank you, thank you, thank you Alf, I did not think it could be adjusted, so I bought a brake pedal arm that is from a fat bob. That worked as far as the angle but the pedal was too small for my foot, so I went back to the original pedal arm. The factory angle sucks as your sitting there and your toes are pointing to the sky, hard on the ankle , well thanks again for the tip I will give it a try . I got my heat shields powder coated just wiring for it to warm up to re install them , they look amazing all in black, not a fan of chrome.

Ah fantastic. Hope it works out for you. Yes I’ve got to say I’m not keen on the chrome either
