If my throttle cable is tangled up could that be a reason why it revs by its self

Can you help me when I let it idle after starting it and giving it gas it stays at the rpm I give gas and slowly goes bad down to idle not immediately

Is your dirt bike a two stroke? If so that would be common. It could also be that the throttle cable is getting stuck as well. Adjusting that, and making sure it’s adjusted correctly would be my first step to resolving this issue.

Mine isn’t going wide open and it’s fully unscrewed

So dirt bikes have adjustments at the throttle assembly on the handlebars, as well as at the other side of the cable by the motor. If both get adjusted out, and still doesn’t fix this then you just need a new cable, because they will stretch out over time. Hope this helps!

Took grip off because throttle felt a little sticky now I can’t put it back on because I don’t have enough slack cable adjustments are maxed out as long as they can go but it’s still too short. I didn’t change a thing yet now it’s too short. How is this even possible?

Yes but that’s not the appropriate fix. You should start by checking your idle screw on your carburetor

Exactly the adjustment here is to adjust how when you turn the bars it doesn't pull the throttle cable, and accelerate the dirt bike. Also adjusting when you turn the throttle it accelerates properly with the turn of the throttle. Adjusting the idle can be done by adjusting a fuel screw on the fuel injector, or a fuel screw on the carburetor!
