Do you have a video for how to adjust the length for Look Pivot bindings? I just bought new boots that have a BSL 5mm longer than the original boots my skis were mounted with and I know the pivot bindings can be adjusted ~10mm without having to remount them, but I can't find a good video to show how to do that. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

The shift binding does have a forward pressure indicator. You need to make sure the screw is flush with the indicator
@Amean123 Жыл бұрын
Dude, the shift absolutely has a forward pressure indicator. Don’t tell people this. The relief on the metal backing needs to be within the two arrows on the rear of the heel housing. I do this all day long. Mounted over 800 pairs of Shifts. They %1000 have a forward pressure. Dont fuck around have a tech properly adjust your skis, your ACL will thank you.

@@Amean123 I literally said the shift DOES have a pressure indicator. And I said the screw needs to be FLUSH with the indicator. Can you not read lol?
@Amean123 Жыл бұрын
@@manyadventures18 WRONG again. There is no screw to be flush with any indicator. The relief on the metal piece in the rear of the heel tower needs to be within the indicator arrows. Nice try though 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

You really don't need to be that condescending. And you could atleast admit that you misread his comment.

I have a friend who wants to borrow my skis. He uses 26.5 boots but I wear 25.5. Can I just move my Marker Griffon bindings heel piece back to fit?

If I adjust the size of the binding with size adjustment function (WARDEN DEMO), do I need to adjust the forward pressure?

Thanks. I've learned recently that I've been skiing on antiques for the last 4 decades and no one will touch my bindings which means new skis and bindings (I guess boots too if I'm at it) This is very helpful because may e I can scrape a few more years out of these by doing it myself. Question; do you ever lube up the mechanisms? WWD40 or balistol or 3inone or something?

Binding manufacturers work shop manuals recommended and provide procedures for setting the DIN and torque testing the boot and binding system. Just because you set the tension indicator to a DIN number it doesn’t necessarily mean that the boot and binding system is actually releasing within the range on the DIN chart. You should do a video on this procedure. I have had a toe or heel release low or much higher than the specific range for a DIN setting when torque testing. It’s safer to make the proper corrections in the shop than find out the binding is not releasing properly on the ski slope.

You didn't show us what you were snapping into place when you were adjusting the bindings for the boot length; your hands were in the way so we couldn't see what was going on.

There is very little detail in the exact moves you make. Please describe as a person who has never done this before. I had to rewind a ton of times, this could be helpful but currently my belief is it is not. Skiing should be available to everyone. These kinds of instructions will help if they are easy to comprehend. I am a woodworker, so I eventually figured it out. But if most people are fustrated with IKEA, then your instruction are worse. Thank you for providing something; but, please refine your process to accomadate everyone. I do apprecite you!

I understood all his instructions, if you couldn't follow or understand this video then you shouldn't be adjusting your skis and take it to a workshop and get it done professionally.
