So I basically have the opposite problem, my outlet box sticks out past my wall so my wallpaper won't fit flush to the wall. I've seen some videos of people just caulking around it or buying thicker wallpapers. I would like to avoid that if possible. Is there any trick short of cutting the wall open and resetting the box further back on the beam?

I know it's a bit too late, but if it's in sheet rock you can always mud it to blend it.
