Really nice. It means I can charge an air tank to 300 bars, and regulate the output to about 150 PSI. Which means I can shoot A LOT of times with 1 filling! Really good video!

I have a similar regulator that outputs 800PSI. I need it to output about 950 PSI. So I guess I just need to add in a washer or two to shim the spring (making it stronger)?

They are for HPA tanks, 3000 psi. This method works with any paintball regulator.

l believe this regulator is basically for paintball but then can this be use directly for regular pcp without adding another valve for air transfer port? just a thought.

That remote that pushes the pin. Does it have a connection for a hose on it? I want use it to fill my pcp and was wondering if I can attach a quick disconnect fitting. If so where do I get it from?

This is really cool! My only concern is safety. Does this compromise the safety of the regulator at all?

No..it will not compromise the safety since the original regulator itself is not any safer..i have a very bad experience with china made regulator..they are not made with strict threading standard..some might get good fruit while the other might get a bad luck.. I'm no pro by an mean but i certainly know when a high pressure thread is very loose and wiggly it shouldn't be used at all

i work with these tanks for a living, replacing those shims with a spring is a fantastic way to have a catastrophic failure of the regulator. there is a reason they have warning labels saying do not add any un-approved parts.

At 2:45 This springs are FART strong. That answers why you wont have a catastrophic failure .

You dont know how regulators work do you? Having a. Weaker spring inside just means that it will close off at a lower pressure. There isnt any more strain on the reg. Plus there are burst disks on the reg. Its super safe

how strong is the spring exactly ? Its´s very hard to find a spring by just knowing how it looks ;) can it be found somewhere else than just in fire estinguishers ?

im gona attack a regulator to an old mini fire extingishure tank so i can just fill it up and then open the regulator until its at like 5 bar etc so it will only output whaver pressure i set the rgulator at :D

Those are Bellville washers, not shims. So you just grab some of them off of there, and pull a spring out of nowhere and put it on? Terrible explanation, with no precision or any idea of what pressure you are getting now, except that it is lower?
