Hey everyone, in today's video, I want to show you how to adjust the exterior part of the parking brakes on a Mercedes CLK, E-Class, CLS-Class or S-Class.
If you have been experiencing issues with your parking brakes, like they're not holding the vehicle as securely as they should, then this video is for you.
First, you will need to locate the parking brake tie cable adjustment mechanism, which is typically located underneath the car, just behind the rear wheels. You can easily identify it by following the parking brake cables from the rear brake calipers.
Once you have located the adjustment mechanism, use a wrench to loosen the locking nut and then turn the adjuster clockwise to tighten the parking brake cables or counterclockwise to loosen them.
Remember, it's important to adjust both cables equally to ensure that the parking brake is applied evenly on both wheels.
After making the necessary adjustments, test your parking brake to ensure it's holding the vehicle securely.
I hope this video was helpful in showing you how to adjust the exterior part of the parking brakes on your Mercedes CLK, E-Class, CLS-Class or S-Class. If you have any questions or suggestions, please leave a comment below. Thanks for watching! Hi everyone, come watch me adjust the parking brake shoes on this 2006 Mercedes Clk w209, but this method is the same on an array of different cars.
