More videos please. I chose to restore a CB450 SPECIFICALLY because of these informative videos and the products you carry!

Thank you for this video. Very clear explanation and the first one I have seen that really goes over what is actually happening.

Hi I've been riding for years and never adjusted suspension in case I got it wrong but your explanation was so clear that I will be sorting my preload before I ride again. Thank you.

Very simply explained. Thanks. However, there isn't much travel left after you adjusted it to your weight.

Thanks for the video. It was a very clear and concise explanation, though I do have a question. Shouldn't the SAG be checked with your feet on the foot pegs instead of being on the ground? Thank you so much, safe rides ✌

Hi, good video….May i ask……. I have Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650. Fitted new Hagons rear shocks with recommended factory settings. after a ride I’m finding my bump stop rubbers have fully slid to the top. Ride is very nice but I’m concerned if they should bottom out at all? I do not feel the bottoming out at all? Thanks.

Thanks for the videos! These apply to front shock absorbers ( with air pressure ) . HONDA CM400c 1981 has never been renovated. No leakage. Is it needed to replace the oil? Drain from the bottom and fill from the top?
@Common-motor5 жыл бұрын
Most rear shocks are not rebuildable, however front forks are. Oil change is standard maintenance.

I apologize, for noting the word front. I ask about the front shock absorbers. Thanks, and again sorry ...

A better explanation would be the shock can top out when rebounding after a bump and make the ride harsh. Having preload/sag gives the shock additional room so the suspension doesn’t top out and feel like your spine is being crushed.

Am having a harsh ride in bumps, will adjusting the preload decrease my ground clearance, cause i don't want to reduce my ground clearance
@RAVICHANDRAN-kj8lh3 жыл бұрын
To soften the suspension = decrease the height of the suspension Am I correct?
@leoszilard39982 жыл бұрын
Shocks should be mounted with the cylinder on top facing down so water and dirt does not go into the piston cylinder and effect the rubber seals.Water has many impurities and minerals that can break down (Dry out) rubber and decrease the life of the piston seat o-ring.I like to spray into the shock piston a bio based lubricant like Ultra lube to extend the life of the first set of rubber seals that seal the piston chamber.
