Thanks for the guide, it might be a dumb question but im confused as there are some different sayings on differet sites. Does turning it from rear brake side to gear shifter side increase or decrease the level ?

I'm 70% sure that clockwise raises it... but you can rest assured you'll know inside of 2 clicks which is the right direction... it's noticable, and you can continually fine tune the adjustment until it's just perfect for you. I would not expect your first setting is going to be the last time you try to nail in your ideal.

Will this lower the height?
@bigdreviewshowtos63612 жыл бұрын
If you lower it yes. If you increase the 'bounce' then it will raise the seat height. Not anything too drastic but you may notice it if you're clicking up several notches

Can you do this for 06 ninja 250. I think there is nothing on the rear spring to move. Just a standard fixed suspension
@bigdreviewshowtos63619 жыл бұрын
***** This was an 06'. If the rear spring has been replaced aftermarket, I'd think the adjustment would be the same... but perhaps not.

+BigDSV i looked through my book and it says not adjustable for 88-07 and is adjustable for 08 and on. U must have a newer rear shock if you have a 06
@mattyjazzz5 жыл бұрын
BigDSV that bike is not an 06’ bro? There’s no way. It’s an 08’ or up as that’s when they came out with that body style anything before 2008 is a completely different bike.

The adjustment absolutely will require two hands to get enough torque to turn the adjustment. Sorry I couldn't show that. What else would you like to see? when you put the tool in the grove, it should be very obvious that you can either rotate the adjustment up/down 30 pounds per "step". Message me if you want to know more. I'm happy to help.

question so do i screw down spring more to stop my bike from bottoming out..its swingarm stretched
@bigdreviewshowtos63614 жыл бұрын
You'd raise the lift if its bottoming out. So screw it so the ridges go up to where you are at the very top of the adjustment 'tier'.. they look like stepped mountaintops. You could try all the way up or go up 1 notch at a time until you find your goldilocks zone that's just right for you.

I have a 07 ninja 250r and my rear spring doesnt have those notches? Any ideas?
@bigdreviewshowtos63617 жыл бұрын
Hmm. a couple other people said similar things. Is it possible you have an aftermarket spring set-up? If so try to find a manufacturer and manual online for that. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I don't have that tool for my 2006 ninja 636. What is it called? I need to raise the rear
@pblanc756 жыл бұрын
Asad S what direction to turn to raise the rear
@bigdreviewshowtos63614 жыл бұрын
I believe it's counter clockwise... however you will absolutely see the bike raise or lower in stance... so in 2 clicks you'll know if you're going the right way or wrong way.

Preload adjuster .... I believe?
@OhCheez10 жыл бұрын
For my 2012 250, you have to remove the brake on the right side to adjust it, as it is impossible to turn the tool from that side.

It may depend on which direction you are trying to torque the adjusment up/down as to which direction you are trying to get leverage IE clockwise vs counterclockwise. I didn't have to move mine.

Sorry dude! Useless effort as nothing to be learnt from this! And yahh'haa, it's like common sense brah! Right? coz of course you need to open some overlapping parts with whatever number of screws it may be to reach any obstructed deeper inaccessible parts first! Right dude!
