How To Adjust, Regulate Your Car Doors. Fix Your Door Gap. Audi/VW/Skoda

Hey guys, so my car doors had a one centimeter gap in the top. That was making them not close properly, so I decided to regulate them.

This video never get old. I just recently got a car and has this same issue. I don't know how to fix it until I saw the video made it so clear and very intuitive to use a nice piece of wood to evenly get the door up. I didn't even know that the boots at the hinge could be adjusted vertically, because from appearance the hinges don't appear to have any vertical adjustment, but this video shows it can be done. So I going to now have a confidence to fix this damn door. Mine is worse, at almost a half inch low. I have to slam the damn door, and the wind leaks in because the door is off in my scenario. So this is great video no matter how old it is. Thanks!!!

It's kind of a tutorial for most of the cars, so bolts may differ :D

That way you only adjust door in and out only. To adjust it up/down you need to remove panels insider and loosen nuts , lift door and tighten nuts.

Different cars have different bolts. You have to check yours

Is this only for vertical adjustment? Because my door vertically correct, but i need horizontal as the gap between my driver door and rear passenger is 1mm larger than left side doors.... In summer the door rubs against the fender making a irritating noise.... I want to adjust horizontal to close the gap a bit between the 2 doors

Hey. By undoing those bolts, you can adjust the doors both ways.

after replacing the lock / lach the door shut's properly without a hich i tired to adjust it but no luck

maybe door hinge itself is bent and need to be replaced 🤔i have the same problem
