pretty good video, although i think nail polish over the screw might make it difficulty to get a screw driver back in there. Rather, some loctite blue would be a little more sensible

How about the folding ones?
@Thesunglassfix6 ай бұрын
Hello @Ermvcorleone3069, If you have a pair of folding wayfarers like the RB4105 version the same methods will work. However, you won't be able to do much work on the nose bridge, and I suggest you avoid putting pressure too close to the arm hinges as this area is fragile and potentially a breakpoint.

I cannot seem to get the arms on my sunglasses to tighten.
@Thesunglassfix Жыл бұрын
Depending if they are a normal hinge screw, you can use the corner of a table to rest the hinge on for a firmer hold to help tighten the screw. Sometimes the screws have just had it and a simple replacement can do the trick. Otherwise, you can fully remove the screw and reinstall with nail polish. Good luck, Lainie - Sunglass Fix

I know this is standard procedure for plastic frames, just seems harsh to do on a pair of $350 glasses. Persol for example.
@Thesunglassfix8 жыл бұрын
Hi Steve, the video shows how to adjust your frames at home, but if want them professionally adjusted, you can ask your local optometrist (who has a heating machine specifically for glasses) to make some frame adjustments. It is usually only a minor charge and takes 5 minutes.
@amandaortiz3088 жыл бұрын
You can adjust person. I work at sunglass hut and we do them all the time. But we don't bend the legs in the way he does that's actually bad and can give you headaches. You're supposed to biend the legs/arms( what ever term you use ) downward kind of curving them around your ears. If they are really wide then they warn the bridge of it and curve the frame of the glasses.

Just now received Ray Ban Liteforce RB4213 and unfortunately they are a bit wide to my face. They are made from high end durable and flexible plastic. I have tried heating them and bending, but even following all the procedures with hot water or hair drier, they will return to the previous shape. Is there any way I could bend the bridge to make them narrower or bend legs? Thank you.
@Thesunglassfix7 жыл бұрын
Hi Oskars, thanks for your query. We have ran some tests ourselves and asked a few optometrists, but we have not been able to find a method of reshaping the newer thermoplastic frames. You could try putting ear socks (sleeves) on your arms instead, as these would make the frames tighter for you.
@Nalanrd3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, that save my sunglasses. I never though warming the frame. I soaked my wayfarers in hot water works great.

Do Ray-Ban lenses just pop in and out that easily?
@Thesunglassfix4 ай бұрын
It really depends on the frames and what material the lenses are made out of, a lot of older Ray-Ban's have glass lenses which are more difficult to remove. This is where heating up the frames can help with the uninstallation. Most sunglass lenses are easily uninstalled.
@michaelpatterson7778 жыл бұрын
hey guys.. so i bought a pair of sunglasses for my girlfriend and the frame is really tight to the point they are tough to open in order to wear.. are there any quick fixes around this issue?
@Thesunglassfix8 жыл бұрын
+Michael Patterson Hi Michael, if you can see your hinge screws, then loosen the screws a tiny bit and it will make all the difference. If you can't see any screws, put a drop of oil on the hinges and it will help make them move a bit easier. Enjoy!
@jessejafrnd8 жыл бұрын
Michael Patterson my raybans 2132's loosened up on there own after a while, after a year now they need a good tighten up.
@Gala_tha_Prince3 жыл бұрын
Are there anyways to make sunglasses looser ?
@Thesunglassfix3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jesse, You can lightly unscrew your hinges to get a looser fit, Or if you find the ear piece is what is too tight these can be heated and adjusted.
@Gala_tha_Prince3 жыл бұрын
@@Thesunglassfix thank you for the reply , the ear piece is definitely what’s too tight , my problem is the hard black plastic won’t change its shape at all
@Thesunglassfix3 жыл бұрын
@@Gala_tha_Prince You may have to take to a optometrist to have it heated they should be able to help, Or you are welcome to send them in to be adjusted.

gahloot I'm from Ga. lived in Perth for 3 years. Many are just really layed back.. we do it here too, if 2 Americans were doing a video like this, they would try to sound upbeat too. There are some unsavory people there as well. Abusive husbands, all sorts of nastiness. They also have the same generic way of speaking like you hear on commercials etc. as we do. Think about McDonalds ads, there is always some super fake upbeat person talking. It annoys the crap out of me. I am an avid ad muter for this reason and others. But the Ozzie way really is very layed back and quite infectious.:)

@KristenLB7 жыл бұрын
Some types of plastic, especially the thicker it is, can kind of revert back to it's original curvature and you might have to do it several times, esp if doing it at home with a hair dryer and when working with the bridge like he did in the 2nd adjustment when he popped the lenses out. The temples usually stay in shape much better.
