Glad it didn't take too long with the exhaust in your face!

Yeah, that wasn't very pleasant.

Great troubleshooting steps. Hey at 4:20 you found the 10mm that I lost.
@thePFOchannel3 ай бұрын
Yeah, I have a whole pile of the other sizes because I keep losing the 10mm and it's cheaper to buy a whole set again.

I saw at harbor freight they sell a pack of just 10mm sockets. lol.

Really? That's awesome. I've never seen that. I'll add that to the list for my next trip.

Others on KZbin are installing an inline hydraulic dampener on their mini excavators which smooths out all the controls, even at operating rpm's. I am not sure exactly what the name of the hydraulic device is but you should be able to search and find some good examples of people doing the upgrade on KZbin. These devices are what's incorporated into the larger commercial excavators and hydraulic equipment we use here in North America, makes operation smooth, accurate, and safe. I would think the upgrade would make the excavator safer, less stressful to use, and you feel less beat up after getting jerked around using it for a few hours. Not sure what they cost but I have seen several self install them with no issues and great results. Makes the little guys behave more like the big excavators used commercially. There was a guy with a KZbin channel that started a mini excavator rental company and he went through some growing pains during that process and installed these dampeners in all his units..... Great channel and I look forward to your future content... Joe

Yes, I believe you're referring to a cushion valve. I've looked into those a bit. I may add one, at least, on the spin motor. Thanks for watching!
@joesharp56023 ай бұрын
@@thePFOchannel Ah, cushion valve, that's it. I just love these little mini excavators, and watching people use and tinker with all the different versions of them, and making them better and more useful for their particular application. That is what brought me to your channel, and our similar age and approach to working on equipment. FYI, besides hitting the like button on KZbin, comments and discussion on a channel helps the KZbin algorithm promote your channel to others. I will try and post comments from time to time if I have anything reasonable to say. Keep up the great work and again, I enjoy what you are doing... With respect... Joe

I have a L 15R I just bought, and it seems no matter what the RPM, when the boom is engaged above idle, up or down, I am almost thrown out of the machine, no exaggeration. Then If I set idle very low the motor bangs and shudders loudly as it doesn;t have the oomph, to pump fluid , any advice
@thePFOchannel2 ай бұрын
I'm so sorry to hear you're not having a smooth experience with your new excavtor. I don't have any direct experience with an L15R, but I have an idea that might help. Are you familiar with a hydraulic cushion valve? My LH12R doesn't have any, but that was the next thing I would have tried adding if fixing the throttle linkage hadn't tamed down my boom controls so nicely.
@WhiteCedar5442 ай бұрын
@@thePFOchannel Thanks, yes, but a cushion valve looks like a major PiA to install and source. I am going to reduce pressure at controls and see if that helps, I'll let you know. If not maybe needle valve a boom cylinder?

@WhiteCedar544 we look forward to hearing your results.
