How to Adjust the Parking Brake on a 9th generation Honda Civic (2012 - 2015)

The parking brake on this car was very loose.
You would have to pull half way through to hear the clicks and if even at that point the car would not brake properly.
There is a 10mm nut inside that you can tighten to fix this issue.

Nice, that's to adjust the lever of the parking brake. To adjust the actual parking brake is from the drum brake adjuster. Thanks for the video.

If you have drum brakes… mine are not but I had to PB blaster the parking brake mechanism in the caliper so the springs can release the piston pressure.

How do you adjust it from the calipers

@@victormartinez5283 in some cars you can adjust the “length” of the cable from the caliper side as well. I haven’t seen that this car.
