Your thousand pictures speak trillions of words. Thanks! My 2015 Accord J35 has a similar looking MAF, and I was shocked by its appearance. Seeing you clean yours gave me confidence that it's OK to spray it. I'm also going to see if my DX8 scan tool can manually open the throttle. Dang that Civic is cramped living quarters. Update: The scan tool doesn't manually operate the throttle position. it just checks or calibrates. It's much simpler to just put a brick on the gas pedal. After cleaning throttle and MAF and recalibrating, I can't even feel the engine idle. My car has 130K on it. Thanks again!

@@gotitdone You don’t have a topic with sunroof repair, so I asked a question in the latest issue. Maybe you can give me some advice or help. The sunroof of the car does not want to close automatically.
@gotitdone12 күн бұрын
@@user-zp3hf7vq7z the sunroof has two parts: the glass one (works with the button) and the internal cover (you close with your hand). I have seen cases where the internal cover is slightly out of the actual rails which makes it harder to close by hand but still doable. The problem is when you press the button to close the glass one, it “feels” the internal cover resistance and returns back to the open position. You can prove this point by pressing the close button and quickly move the internal cover as the glass one is closing.

So 56f taking out my passenger front seat and entire back seat area of my 2015 honda civic lx sedan. I just got the socket wrench set as I have no car tools. If you have time why did and how did you disconnect the battery before using the socket wrenches? I have no experience fiddling around with cars except to check fluids, change a tire and put air in the tires...lol I also saw you doing something with i guess fuses??? I know I wouldn't rip them out but is there anything I should be looking for specifically if I have this video with me in the car while I am doing this. Or should it not be pLayed with by someone who has never done anything like this before????? I just want to be safe, is all. Thanks for the video.
@gotitdone14 күн бұрын
Thank you for your questions. Disconnecting the battery is VERY important if you are going to remove the seat to avoid an accidental seat’s airbag deployment. The reason I wanted to remove the seat was to thoroughly clean it outside the car. There are some challenging clips and you will need a few tools. If you don’t have those tools or your skill level is not that high, I would recommend to clean the seat inside the car the best you can. Having a “carpet cleaner” type machine helps a lot, like this one: a.co/d/0dm7qBmg Please consider subscribing to my channel or a $thanks. It will help me on doing more videos like this. Great idea. I did use the RFID small circle in an adhesive square on the free bypass plug you can call and get from GE. I heated the sticker up up with hair dryer and removed a little at a time, more heat, remove a little more, etc.. Just like you said. I placed it where you did higher up on the refrigerator filter area . Bypass plug has a much smaller RFID on bypass plug than on the GE filter (just a small circle in an adhesive square, I then pressed it against my carpet and such to make it less sticky on purpose). So refrigerator now says BP on the display with the XWF filter and all works well. Now if you put the GE filter back in while you still have the bypass RFID sticker on, I guess that has a stronger signal, and then you have the refrigerator reading like you used to with the number of days. I just did this as a test. Cool, thank you
