Thank you mate. if you change the height on the front, does this have affect on the camber/caster setup you are driving? of will this stay te same?
@PowerRepublic5 жыл бұрын
J S your very welcome. The castor is set with the orientation of the pils forward and backwards, so no they will stay the same. The Camber should also be unchanged as you have only raised or lowered the stub axle about its centre line. For the art of racing, always chuck the snipers back on and do a double check anyways.

Lovin the vids. Any chance you could do a series on tuning a delorto carby on a Rotax Max Evo? Is there a rough way to tune an engine if you dont have access to a dyno or easy tune? Jet settings etc. cheers

Hey Jay. The Rotax carb is easier to tune than you think. we have a video on how to service your carb. is there any one problem you have at the moment?

Im just trying to find what a 'recommended' jet would be to see if im rich or lean and get the best out of my engine and not go pop! Was wondering if there is a way to tune without using a dyno or an easy tune. Cheers

HI Jay Townsend, sorry I just found this message by accident. Normally here in south east Queensland we are running 120-125 with the senior max engines. rich would be at the 125 and 120 would be lean. the engines are excellent in that you can be a touch on the lean side and they will still survive the session. its not ideal but it gives you a second chance to go back to the pits and change the jet to one richer. hope that helps your out

Do you need to redo front alignment with a Sniper after changing the front ride height or will it stay the same?

Hi! First rain race this weekend, Have neutral set up. Should I raise front ride height for wet conditions? And rear bumper...stiff or bit loose? Thanks, Toronto, Canada

add the front bar, loosen the side pods and rear bar, remove the seat stays (maybe) use a soft axle. and wet tyres for sure

will this affect the jacking effect?
@PowerRepublic2 жыл бұрын
it will change the centre of gravity, so yeah to some degree it will

Sometimes I’m having a problem on the rear tires where it jumps at corners. Is this related to ride height?
@PowerRepublic4 жыл бұрын
Possibilities maybe. I would try lifting the ride height if that was me. And add seat stays. And then add more rear Tyre pressure by 0.5- 1psi. Hope that helps
