How to adjust the water level pressure switch on a washing machine

I will instruct you how to adjust the water level switch on a washing machine. This demonstration is on a front loader but my be used on top loaders as well. You will need to keep a close eye on the water level the next time you use your machine to make sure it does not over flow. If you are not confident after watching this video then call a professional.

great video. I have a older Bosch front loader 500 series that uses so little water I wonder if my clothes are clean. Is there an adjustment for water level in the controls also?

Thanks for the video... I have been having issues where all of a sudden (6yrs old machine same as yours), that when it goes through a cycle and gets to SPIN, for some reason it starts to foam up and builds up that much it comes out the soap drawer.. I haven't changed in anyway how i do the washing but for some reason it starts to do this.. If i do EXTRA RINSE it sometimes fixes it. But rarely.. So what i am thinking is pull apart to clean the tub Inner/Outer.. I did find that some lint was in the drain pump hoses.. So my task on days off this week will be to pull apart and see if cleaning tub works.. Again thanks for the video.

I agree, that may be too much water for a frontloader. May be causing a leak at the door seal. I am considering recalibrating a water level switch. If I do, I will put a dab of fingernail polish or some sort of adhesive to lock the screw in place.

Lol when i saw your new water level my whole body breathed a huge sigh of relief haha. Bet the clothes finally got clean :) I've been living with one of these modern machines for years and they all barely use enough water its so frustrating.

One little comment I would like to add is that (this is just my assumption - don't shoot the messenger lol I just pass the information on) ... is that modern washers have to now obey strict water saving laws, therefor newer washers are made (on purpose) to use less water (I guess the green thumbs want to save the planet) and thus the washers now have to rely on the new/modern strong detergents to do the dirty work instead (pardon the pun) - instead of using the "cleaning forces" of water itself.
