Gained ~1 inch on the front of my ‘23 EPS. This will help for the plow installation that I’m planning. Thank you!

I put a new plow on my 2020 Polaris Ranger 1000 and wasn't sure how to adjust the stiffness of the shocks. After this video, it took 10 minutes and was a breeze. Other videos have you taking off the wheels which was not necessary. Thanks for the help!

Saw the same thing in another video, showing the wheels being taken off. Didn’t want to do that, so kept looking. Found your video and the adjustment was a breeze. Thanks for taking the time to upload the content!

The video was helpful. I just got done adjusting my suspension on my 2020 Ranger Crew. It was NOT easy. Won’t be doing that again anytime soon. But, I gained 1 1/2 inches on the back and 1” on the front!

Keep in mind these Rangers are a tall UTV to begin with, and extra inch of ground clearance means and extra inch of height when going in and out of trailers/toy haulers.

I relocated my shocks and did the springs on my stock equipment and it’s 1-1/2” taller with those 2 changes. And then I put rzr tires and wheels on it and bumped it another 1-1/2” giving me 3” total with very little cost.

UTV DIRT did you do any clutch work so that it’s not so jumpy off the start? Once I installed the rzr tires and wheels, it was real jerky to get going off the line. Unless I floor it and go.
@UTVDIRT4 жыл бұрын
@@aaronpage1822 Yes i did. I highly recommend the Gilomen clutch and tune kit. It took away most of the jerkiness and the tune really woke this machine up. Well worth the money.

I am relatively new to sxs community and had an issue with my front tires wearing on the inside. I noticed the other day while I was following my wife home from our neighbors that the front tires seem to be leaning out at the ground and leaning in at the top. The back tires are wearing evenly so I'm not worried about them. Would adjusting my front suspension help with the front tire wear? Any help or insight on this would be a big help. Thank You in advance and keep up the great videos.

Hey I bought my 2019 Polaris ranger northstar crew and the shocks were on the stiffest setting. I would like to soften it up but I tried to jack it up to take the pressure off but I can’t seem to get the spanner wrench to move the snail cam at all. Any recommendations on how to “back it off” versus stiffening it to the hardest setting? Thanks!
@UTVDIRT4 жыл бұрын
The back are the hardest to adjust and took some time. I used the spanner wrench and used channel locks and finally got it. I also put on a pair if padded work gloves and it helped me get a better grip. You might want to spray some WD 40 on it to.
@jamesshaughnessyl14934 жыл бұрын
UTV DIRT got it I’ll give that a try! Do you know if I need to turn it clockwise or counterclockwise? Didn’t know since if it’s on the stiffest setting if I had to completely cycle it through or if I can just back it up a couple notches
@UTVDIRT4 жыл бұрын
If it's on the stiffest setting you can only go backwards. It wont turn all the way around if that makes sense.

my 2019 Polaris 900 XP EPS has the suspension on the inside, is there PrOS and CONS on inside vs outside other than giving you a little more clearance. Will there be an issue long term by leaving suspensions on the inside?
@UTVDIRT4 жыл бұрын
If they are mounted on the inside it is a softer ride but the ground clearance is lower. If you put them on the outside you get about an inch more clearance but a stiffer ride. It just depends on what you are doing with the unit.

Love your channel, very helpful. I have a question for you. I just bought a 2019 ranger xp1000 and just put on its first 30 miles today. It has a loud clunk when taking off from a start in high range. Also while in park and if I manually rock the machine back and forth I can here the same loud clunk. Sounds like in the clutch area or maybe diff. Not sure. Does yours do this. The forums all say it’s normal said it’s the secondary clutch gear slop. But makes me think something is wrong.
@UTVDIRT5 жыл бұрын
That's normal mine does it to when you put it in gear before taking off. Its the gears engaging in the transmission. Thanks for watching!
