Thanks Adam, that's very informative and I'll get my head around which one to make it easier to go over lumps. Another topic though, is there an adjustment for thread tension other than the one on the front of the machine. My thread is extremely tight to pull through freely, even when the knee lever is up and it's supposed to move freely. Sometimes my thread will snap because it's so tight. I cannot loosen the thread tension any further on the front of the machine, or the knob comes off. I do have the tension balanced well with the bobbin and it sews fine. Any help would be appreciated. Peter here. I believe there is a setting you can talk to Adam about that give you stronger pressure on the tension release pin and also increase the time that the tension release stays open for.
