Flipping gear helped me finally appreciate Fender strats because as you said I got to try stuff that was outside of my comfort zone, and chances are that in the used market someone somewhere might have what you're looking for at a reasonable price

Yes for sure! Its worth checking out a lot of gear, how would you ever know if you’re into it otherwise. I’m super into teles now because of it 😅

The advice kinda applies to cameras as well. And it kinda absolutely not applies to cars ;( Another pro tip is to use an envelope budgeting strategy (YNAB or Aspire budgeting). That way you need to (digitally) take money out of your guitar envelope when you want to buy random stuff and that makes you prioritize every time you spend money on anything. Love the video! Oh that's what I usually do! I set out to save a certain amount every month for a new guitar but if I suddenly want a new camera, it's going to be taken from my guitar funds 😝 Peter Lindgren is an inspiration for sure! Such a great personality! ❤️ thank you for your kind words!

Great video. When you mentioned flipping your gear are there any kind of channels that you prefer using with while both browsing the gear and sell the gear?

I mostly do it through facebook groups or blocket. But i usually check with friends or friends of friends first.

Do this for years, have a family, eventually find yourself with one epiphone and a Yamaha amp because your play money and gear went into a whole house remodel, oh and that 100 foot high dead hazard tree had to be removed, and you need blinds for your 30 plus windows, and today your car decided it was done starting. 😀

I think with me i know exactly what i like so when i saw my jazzaster i was like YES I need that she is a 62 and was only 1600 poundsin 2008in shop worth well over double that now , still she will never be for sale

Got to love a good jazzmaster! I was eyeing a ocean turqouise one before I decided to make a MJT one in stead. Kinda wish I bought a proper one though. Might still do 😛

@@alexradsby its literrally best guitar i ever played got a 64 gretsch anniversary, gretsch astrojet and 67 yamaha flying samurai, all great but JM is just perfect
