HOW TO: Afterthought Thumbs

I saw your black and white beautiful mitten. How do you do color work and keep the pattern going with slip stitches in an afterthought thumb? A video, maybe!?

I can try to do a video!! If you use the waste yarn for the placement of the afterthought thumb, it's just a matter of being careful when you pick up the live stitches on top and bottom. There will be a bit of a jog for the colorwork on the top stitches (which gets hidden in the crook of the thumb, though) - so that's something to be aware of.
